My friend and I spent a week at Casa Placencia over Christmas (2012) and we had a marvellous time. Jacki was warm, friendly and gave us many helpful tips and suggestions. We very much enjoyed our home made baked treats every morning. Access to bicycles was fantastic as her place is about a 15 minute walk from the village centre. It is across the street from a lovely beach where we swam everyday. The rooms were clean, stylish with kitchen facilities and wifi. Highly recommended!

We really enjoyed staying at Casa Placencia. It was the perfect location, not smack-dab in the middle of town, but a short walk from a grocery store and ten/fifteen minutes from all the bars and restaurants. Jackie was great and friendly and knowledgeable about the local attractions and what to see and what to skip; she helped us plan an excellent snorkeling trip and gave us several great recommendations for restaurants.

Our room (we stayed in the studio in back, with one double bed and a kitchen) was beautifully designed and very comfortable. We enjoyed sitting in the hammock on the outside patio, making coffee in the morning, and enjoying fresh coconuts from the trees growing in the yard.

We would *definitely* recommend this to anyone looking for a low-key, relaxing place to stay.

We stayed here in March 2013.
Our group occupied the upstairs apartment (next to owner's place) & a downstairs room with two twin beds. Both rooms were VERY CLEAN and the beds were comfortable. It's is located a little out of town, but it's nice & quiet and an easy ride/walk to get to restaurants, grocery stores, and beach. The owner, Jacki, was very friendly & helpful, plus she gave us wonderful tips on the best places to eat & swim.
I would recommend this place to adults who are looking for a clean, comfortable, & quiet place to stay just outside of town.
I would not recommend this place for people traveling with children.

We recently found ourselves in a situation where we needed to stay for a couple of weeks very unexpectdly. Miss Jacki was very kind and accomodating. The rooms are immaculate, and the other guests were very friendly. We even had dinner with other guests while we were staying there. I highly recommend this place to stay. (one of the best parts was Miss Jacki's banana bread!!) The gardens are well maintained as well as the rest of the apartments. It is a very easy walk into town, and we wanted for nothing.

We rented one of the small rooms as that was all we needed. Very clean, comfortable and safe. Lovely gated grounds with beautiful gardens and several comfortable places to sit outside. Quiet and a bit out of town. Jacki provided bikes we took to town which was fun.
We had a pot luck supper one night with other residences which was a great way to meet others and a very good time.
Jacki was very friendly and makes great muffins! She is very committed to her home and community.

Room Tip: Great for solo and couple travelers. She also has a larger room she rents which has a lovely view.

We spent 3 great nights in late January at Casa Placencia. Our ground floor room was smallish but comfortable, nicely decorated, and came with everything we needed (tv, a/c, fridge, coffemaker). For us it was the perfect distance from town, a leisurely 15 minute walk along the road or on the beach; or if feeling lazy it was quick ride on the free loaner bikes Jacki provided. Jacki was always very helpful and friendly; a great host - we were greeted with her yummy home made brownies. Highly recommended!

Jacki was really a great energy from the first moment I contacted her. She welcomed us with freshly baked cookies and treated us to her baking the whole time we were there. The room was small but all we needed. WiFi works well and there was even a television. Really liked not being in the center of everything in Placencia. Nice walk to and from the restaurants. Jacki is highly entertaining with a very cheeky history. She was also great helping us get to our next destination. I would go for one of the larger studios next time as they look really special and the beds look newer. Definitely would stay here again.

Room Tip: If you can afford a little more, go for the studios. Worth the extra.
