What a destination! Seaspray is directly on the beach and the sidewalk. Restaurants and tour companies are minutes away. The service was excellent and the room quiet, clean and comfortable. I will definitely stay there again and longer.

At US$29 a night, on the beach, our room was a steal. We were lucky--we walked in after dinner & got the last available room. Cleanliness, private bath with hot water, refrigerator, firm mattress, quiet and friendly service were more than we expected. When I go back, I'll happily stay here again, and longer.

We chose this hotel on recommendations from Tripadvisor's helpers and they were correct. As soon as I started emailing for availablility and reservation policy I knew we would have a good stay, thanks especially to Rodecia and Verna. All of the employees were wonderful We had a Seaview room the 1st and last nights of our trip to Belize and it worked out perfectly. The room was nice and clean, loved the veranda with your own hammock. Was great to have a refridge and microwave too. We liked that it is towards the end of all the businesses so you feel like you have more beach to yourself. Having D'Tatch restaurant right out back was wonderful for breakfast and we met our friends there for supper the 1st night too. Would definately stay here again. Vickie and Tom

We stayed at Seaspray Hotel's Heaven's Gate Bungalow for five nights. Heaven's Gate Bungalows are a couple of hundred yards up the beach north of the Seaspray Hotel. There are two bungalows, both on the beach but one is behind the other. There is also a caretaker's bungalow. We stayed at the one in front closest to the water, they call it Heaven's Gate #1. A sweet little place with a kitchenette and plenty of room, a wrap around deck with a hammock and a couple of lounge chairs. There's plenty of pristine beach around it but it is within easy walking distance of Placencia village, grocery stores, restaurants, bars, shops and activities. We had a car with us but never used it our entire stay. Want to see some monkeys up close and personal? Take a tour to Monkey River.

Room Tip: Heaven's Gate Bungalow #1 is closest to the water.

Good service, clean, friendly helpful people and good value for the money. After my first stay I would not stay anywhere else in Placencia. The attached, Da'Thatch beach restaurant & bar was also the best food in the village.

Note; These are my personal comments which you may choose to accept or not. Being forced to sign in to the trip advisor site, thus allowing my system to be over whelmed with unwanted spam and advertsiing crap is wrong. However experiencing the Seaspray will convince you I am right. Therefore I will delate everything from Trip Advisor or un-titled/subjected e-mails.

Sea spray hotel was fantastic. It was clean, had shampoo and conditioner and it was right on the beach. The beachfront Cabana that we had was awesome. you could look at the Ocean all day long from your private balcony. I would recommend getting a Cabana or Seaside rooms with the porch. It was right in the village so short walk to restaurants, tour groups etc. Desk clerks were friendly.

Room Tip: Cabana or a Seaside room.

We stayed in a double economy room for BZ$58 per night. The room was tiny really to be honest. It had a ceiling fan which was non effective and one standing fan which we relied on heavily! The room was very stuffy. You couldn’t open a window so there was no chance of getting some air in. Sometimes we had to leave the main door to the room open so as to cool the room down.

There was a fridge in the room and you could also get WIFI. The bathroom was pretty standard and the shower had hot water. The room was cleaned daily and the bed was comfortable with comfortable pillows also. Storage was very tight but thankfully we could get our bags under the bed.

The main thing this hotel has going for it is its setting. It is set right on the beach in Placencia which is beautiful. The beach is amazing here and stretches for miles. It was great being able to literally walk straight on to the beach from our bedroom. The hotel provided loungers for the beach. There was also a nice garden area to the side of the hotel with tables and chairs.
The staff in the hotel were very nice and very helpful.

Overall, it probably was the best value for money in Placencia. We did look around but were unable to find a budget option with a private bathroom. I did see in to some of the more expensive rooms and they were much bigger and did seem quite airy so if you have that extra bit of money to spend it would be worth checking those rooms out.

Seaspray did the job and the location made the tiny stuffy room a bit more bearable but not sure if we could have stayed there for more than the four nights that we did.
