Orange walk town is not really the kind of place you want to hang around in, you're probably staying here to visit Lamanai (which was my favourite Mayan ruin on my whole central america trip)! So the location is actually quite good because it's on the main road across from the gas station, so you don't have to go searching the streets for this place. it's also the cheapest place in the town but still seems expensive for the quality of the rooms (Belize in general is just damn expensive). The rooms were clean, we all got a towel, and there was hot water in the shower! the man who runs the place was also a brain box full of information about belize and getting to Guatemala so that was really helpful! he wasn't trying to push us to go with any one particular tour to Lamanai or any particular transport to guatemala which is what a lot of Belizeans try to do i found...Anyway this place is ideal for a night stop to see lamanai if your backpacking on a budget like we were!

This hotel is well situated in Orange Walk and close to everything.
The rooms are clean as are the showers and toilets.
The staff are very friendly and are willing to help you with any queries.
There is not much to do in Orange Walk but it is handy for the superb river trip to Lamani

Room Tip: I had a room on the first floor overlooking the main road. The view was not spectacular but it was l...

We paid $22.50USD (45 Belize) for a twin room with private bathroom and cable TV. It's a basic place, very worn but your best option in Orange Walk if you're on a budget. The guy on reception is very friendly and knowledgeable and can help you with anything you need. They have internet and WI FI too.

I use the word budget with tongue planted firmly in cheek. Belize is just downright expensive given the region as a whole. In the last 8 months we have stayed in places just as good as this for half the price. Still trying to figure out why this country commands the prices it does. An 8 once beer is US. $1.50. Beers are not sold in 12 ounces. Ouchies!

Now that we got that up out of the way, this hotel was a great place. Very quiet and very clean. The shower was great, with the strange addition of hot water. Goes with the oppressive heat in the area, I guess. But hot water is there if you need it. The room had 2 single beds that were lined up head to toe. The tv had ample cable and the interweb worked very good in the room. Two beds meant two towels, which is hard to come by in some places, so that was a nice touch. The room had a large window in the bathroom. The room was cooled nicely by a quiet ceiling fan. We paid BZ$45 or US$22.50. That seems to be as close as you can get to bottom end prices, so with that it makes it perfect for all the shoestringers. You know who you are.

A good choice in a town that may get overlooked by others.

We stayed in a dbl room with no bathroom (35BZ), they also offer a dbl room with bathroom for (45BZ).

The hotel is clean and basic but good value. It is about 5 minutes walk from central park. We found the staff here to be very nice (especially the young bloke with long hair and glasses, very knowledgable guy!)

The room itself was nice enough, it came with a tv, fan, towels, soap and toilet paper. Bed was good as were the pillows. Only problem was that our room was right on the street and it was quite noisy.

We would stay again but would probably ask for a room off the street next time.

The room was basic, but then what can you expect for this price? There was no door to the bathroom and even the curtain that might have been there once was missing. The room was very clean and had probably the best shower I have ever had in Belize. There was plenty of water and it was hot. The service was always good and polite.

This place definitely isnt fancy, but it was a comfy clean bed and decent room for a great price. Its an old concrete building that kind of looks like an old prison. But the people that run it are friendly and helpful. I guess one drawback was that the bathroom wasnt quite up to our standards, but It was a good, cheap place to spend a night anyways.
