if you´re looking for something cheap, clean, with a lot of facilities and a friendly staff, this is the place. there is a nice roof top with hammocks and a kitchen where you can cook and eat with a stunning vue on the volcano. you have access to internet for free as much as you want and the breakfast including is ilimited. Jorge the owner is more than helpfull and happy to help you and make you feel more like friend in his house than a simple guest. there is also a big living room with tv cable and some fresh beers for free if you´re thirsty. it might be also surprising but even at 5 min walking from the airport, we didn´t feel that we needed to move to find an hotel more central, you´ve got little shops around to buy food and the area seems to be pretty secure.

This is a great place that can accomodate the solo budget traveller to the large family. They have many room options, and its location within walking distance of the airport is convenient for flying, and getting to Antigua and western Guatemala easily. It is also near the airport, and can arrange transfers to other parts of the city. The place is very clean, has great hospitality, and can answer all your travel questions in English or Spanish.

Unlike many airport hotels in Guatemala City, Casa Santorini is not just an economical place to flop and wait for an early morning flight. Rather it is a very pleasant experience in visiting Guatemala City. They have single rooms with or without private bathroom, ditto on double rooms as well as a nice dormitory. Rooms are small, but well furnished with good beds, cable TV in Spanish, English, German, French and Korean, and are pico bello clean, as are the bathrooms all of which come equipped with a nice hot shower. There is no street noise and surprisingly no airport noise. The hotel has its own café/bar and restaurant with a better wine list than most of the best restaurants in Guatemala. Food is simple, like churrasco, cooked by grandma and is both good and very inexpensive. Breakfast is free and filling. The coffee is terrific.. Upstairs is a terrace bar with a striking view of Guatemala City. The hotels best feature is its manager Jorge, a friendly, smiling and helpful man who speaks English and goes out of his way to make your stay pleasant. The hotel is 1 minute from the international airport and only 5 minutes to zone 10, the locus of Guatemala´s best shopping, restaurants, cafes and bars. If you want to get around town, Jorge´s uncle has a taxicab and will take you and bring you back safely and with no cheating on fares. When you arrive or depart the hotel provides free airport shuttle service. I have lived in Guatemala 7 years and for me Casa Santorini is the best value for a moderate priced hotel In Gautemala. I recommend it without reservantion.
