My wife and I stayed here for a week in early March. Easy access to the airport, good price point, and only a short walk to the restaurant/shopping area around the Westin. The staff is super helpful and it was nice to return at the end of the day and be greeted by people who sincerely seemed to care that you were comfortable. Not air conditioned, which was fine for us at this time of year, but that's the one thing I would keep in mind if considering this hotel. If price is no object, then sure, you may find a nicer room and a softer bed elsewhere, but this was my 11th trip to Guatemala, and I've stayed at lots of different hotels, but I will definitely stay here again.

Room Tip: We stayed in two different rooms while we were there - one was called Anna, which was small, and onl...

We spent one short night here because we were between flights (arriving late, departing early). Just a few minutes from the airport in a quiet neighborhood is a big plus, though I doubt this is the place to stay for exploring the city. The room was simple but clean. THe beds weren't particularly comfortable, but it's Guatemala! It was all we needed for our stay. Very kind service and we did get breakfast to go (since it's included). Very easy to get to by taxi (that can be arranged by the hotel).

Not a cheap place but they gave us breakfast bag and we left at 5.00am in the morning and they were up to open the gate for our car

Not took easy to find-side street-our map wasn't perfect
In the evening went for walk -north direction -in a commercial area so could do last minute shopping before flying out.

Room Tip: One choice but may be cheaper nearer the airport but can walk around in the evening

The hotel was very dark, the beds were small doubles and hard, the staff were great and breakfast was not included. For the cost I think I would stay somewhere else next time. It was located close to the airport but it was hard to find somewhere nice with a guatemalian flavor to eat.

We only stayed one night because we were heading to Lake Atitlan in the morning. This hotel is conveniently close to the airport, clean, and has hot showers. They also serve a very nice breakfast included with the room fee. The only reason I didn't give 5 stars is because we arranged a shuttle through Dai Nonni via email. When we arrived late in the evening, there was supposed to be a green sign with our name, and there was no shuttle to be found. To be fair, we arrived pretty late Christmas Eve. We ended up paying twice as much to get a taxi ($20 US) as what the shuttle was supposed to cost ($10). In the end though it was not that big of a deal and if we find ourselves staying in Guatemala City for a night again, we would be just fine with Dai Nonni.

The Dai Nonni Hotel was the perfect place to stay for my first (and only) night in Guatemala City. They had their driver pick me up at the airport. There's little better than seeing a smiling face in a crowd exiting immigration at an airport with your name on a sign. The breakfast was full and very good. The entire staff were just so cute and friendly. I stored my luggage with them after check out so I could visit the National Anthropology Museum before heading to Antigua. I walked three blocks to the Crowne Plaza for a fabulous lunch buffet that day. I would definitely stay here again on my first night to GC.

Room Tip: It's a 3 block walk to the Crowne Plaza for a great lunch.

I stayed in Dai Nonni hotel on 23 Nov for 1 night.
I must commend the hotel staff by the name of Veronica for the prompt confirmation of my reservation upon booking via booking.com. I was also asked whether I need to be picked up from the airport by shuttle for a cost of US$10. Veronica was quick to email me of the changes made to the timing of the shuttle after I notified them of changes to my flight.
I chose the hotel for its close proximity from the airport. It took about 5 minutes by shuttle. Upon arrival, the exterior of the hotel looks like an ordinary house but I was quickly greeted by a friendly staff. Even though the staff at the reception could not speak and understand English, the check in process was rather straight forward which requires me to just fill up a form.
I was then directed to my room. I was pleasantly surprised by the clean and comfortable room. My room was just beside the garden and was fairly quiet with only occasional sound of aircraft flying past. I particularly liked the bathroom for its warm shower and the toiletries provided.
I would have stayed on if I had not made plans to go to Antigua in the morning. I managed to book a shuttle from the same company that sent me from the airport for US$15.
I would highly recommend the hotel to anyone who is looking for a convenient and efficient hotel in Guatemala City to come by here.
