The architecture in this building is amazing and the history that this place holds is just great. I recommend you stop by for a little history of Guatemala.

How difficult is it to keep your potential customers updated on your planned opening times buy updating your own website? We travelled across the city on both Sunday 2nd July and again on Tuesday 4th July to see one of the top attractions in Guatemala to be told on the first visit they were closed for team-building or some other event (the story changed depending on which member of staff we asked) and then for another unspecified event the second time. We were therefore unable to see the National Palace as a result of sheer laziness and incompetence by the staff there hence this low score. If you’re not open, update the damn website.

Go on the guided tour on Saturdays, if you speak Spanish it's amazing and incredibly beautiful. The tour is brief and very guided but still definitely worth stopping by. They run only Saturdays 9, 10, 11 am and 2, 3, and 4 pm so plan accordingly.

Situated in the City Centre of Guatemala City, this palace is a palace in true sense.
The decor, the marbled flooring, the chandeliers, the murals truly represents what a palace is and you are impressed by the grandeur that it exudes.
Our guide was also very good and informative.
A must do if you are in Guatemala City.

The view from the outside is impresive enough, but it is nothing compared to what you will find inside the building. You will get transported back in time to 1940's. Its archiquecture, ornament, lamps, doors, gardens, murals, etc, are magnificient. The influence of Spain's Mudejar architecture is all over the place.
It is absolutely beautiful. A visit is fully recomended.
