Very nice hicking by the beach and then in the forest.

You can jump in the water from the ultimate Altar.

From Livingston it is about 1h15 minutes walks.

“Good half day trip”
4 of 5 bubbles Reviewed 1 July 2014

Took a pickup taxi from the port and took the walk on the beach to Siete Altares. Very impressive beach with palm trees, local fishermen and small houses, but the water was very unappetising - too muddy. Walking up to the Altares was quite enjoyable, a bit of adventure, was totally worth it. Tip: Have to walk through water and on shaky rocks, but flip flops are not a good idea because of the steepness of some points in the path.

“Excellent day trip”
5 of 5 bubbles Reviewed 2 June 2014

These waterfalls are accessible from Livingston by a short boat ride. If you want to save a bit of money, ask anyone around the docks to take you out and come back for you, and you'll get there a lot cheaper than doing it with a tour agency. You don't need a guide for the falls- its very straight forward, and when you get to the house before the falls, they give you all the info you need.
One important note.... bring sandals with straps if you have me!!! Flipflops can be hard to walk in here if they get wet, and having no shoes can get painful because you're walking across so many rocks. The falls are quite a ways back, as you keep going up the platforms to the main waterfall in back. Bring water, some snacks, and some decent shoes, and you'll be great. Also bring some extra money and grab a beer in the house at the entrance- the owner is a really cool guy with some great stories- worth your time to hang out there.
The falls themselves are beautiful, and definitely a good excursion if you have the time.

“Hike out. Bring money.”
4 of 5 bubbles Reviewed 17 May 2014 via mobile

Our source of information listed this as a free sight. Seems they charge 20Q in now, which is fine. Imagine our shock when we arrived the first time without money. We enjoyed the walk out to the falls. The pools are peaceful. Not many people. Enough room for your own bit of paradise.
Follow the path from the edge of town, all along the water. There is also a good freshwater spring near the entrance.
