We stayed in the Seagrove Retreat with 5 in our group. We loved the house, the pool, and the dock on the water with all of the amenities!! Franklin and Junior made our stay awesome! They are both so very nice and helpful. We had Rosa cook for us twice, once with fresh lobster tails that Junior obtained for us and another night when she made a fabulous shrimp dish. The house itself is lovey with amazing views from the deck. Our favorite spot when it rained was in the lanai off the master bedroom. The house is private and remote and so relaxing. Paul was very helpful in planning our trip and answered many emails. Thanks for sharing such a beautiful place with our family. We saw the boat house too and we would love to stay there if just the two of us go back some time. We had adventures on Pigeon Cay, the Little French Key, West Bay, the Parrot Tree Plantation. the Hole in the Wall, and on the island. Such a great time!

The Boat house was the perfect place for a couple. We just spent 10 days there and couldnt have had a more relaxing wonderful time. The house is directly over a cove, where you can look out to the reef and enjoy a ton of water activities. We dove with larry at Islander Diving and he picked us up from our dock each day. The house has paddle boards, kayaks, snorkels, fishishing polls etc. They had thought of everything. Franklin, Junior and Simon were amazing. They picked us up at the airport, took us to the grocery store and were there when ever we need them for anything. Franklin fixed the clutch in our rental car the first night probably saving us $1000. Really they were all top notch. Junior took us on a boat ride to Pukies and through the mangroves which was out of a fairytale. We would have never found it on our own but it was an easy and beautiful kayak ride that we did by ourselves daily after that.

Paul was super helpful and responsive before the trip arranging everything and giving us a lot o recommendations. Hope to be back soon

Meg

We were two couples that enjoyed our stay at the Seagrove Retreat. The house is huge with all amenities included. Stereo, table tennis, paddleboard, kayaks, snorkel and fishing gear, hammocks, and all the cooking supplies you need. The pool has amazing views and if you have more than 3 couples going the casita would come in very handy. The only downfalls to this house, and after you are there they disappear, is the distance from the airport (roughly 40 minutes) and the stairs down to the house. The stairs are not as big of a deal once you realize that your luggage is being carried both down and up by your property manager, Franklin. This guy is tops in my book after chasing us to the airport to hand me my power cord for my laptop which I had left behind. Remember, this is a 40 minute ride, ONE DIRECTION! The guy is there for you whenever you need it. There is also a caretaker onsite, Junior, that makes sure that you are taken care of and will make sure the gate is open for you and the pool and grounds are well taken care of. Not very intrusive but there when you need him. The house gives a local phone which rocks when making arrangements with tour companies or asking Franklin any questions. I would consider this place again when returning to Roatan.

Room Tip: Upstairs in the house is the master but the poolside room is also desirable.

I just got back from spending a week on Roatan at Seagrove Retreat and it's taking every bone in my body to not get on a plane and head right back. The house is amazingly fantastic. Our trip was originally going to have 8 of us, but due to work, weddings, and babies only 4 of us ended up going. Since it sleeps 8 comfortably (12 using the pull out and air mattress), we had PLENTY of space! The house is beautiful and so well appointed...we had everything we needed there, from beach towels to playing cards to kayaks and cornhole, we were a happy bunch. The caretakers are wonderful...very kind, helpful, trustworthy and just plain sweet. Grocery shopping was easy, and the house (both main house and boat house) was perfectly stocked with cooking supplies. I could go on for days about the view, cleanliness, and comfort of the house, but I'm guessing you get the idea? I'll definitely be back...hopefully sooner rather than later - the hammock on the porch is calling my name....

What a fantastic time we had! We had never rented a boathouse before. We were always the tourist resort type. This was the most fantastic boathouse. Every morning to step out into the beautiful living room with a view of the ocean right off the full deck.
I was also so impressed with the staples Paul and Julie provided. From dish soap to garbage bags; seasonings to beach towels. And clean. (I don't do dirty anything) This place was spotless. Franklin and Junior met us at the airport (along with our best friends who live on the island). Junior jumped right in and grabbed our bags. From that point on he was there for anything we needed. We just loved him. He even comes down with a flashlight at night to make sure everything is secure on the property. I felt very safe with him being with us when we went places. Don't get me wrong; the people were very friendly. But Junior takes his job seriously and works hard to make sure the vacation is very special.
Paul also helped us get started before we even left from home. Great advice on the beer bottles (they re-cycle them). He made sure we had rides to and from the airport. And they provide a motor boat, a paddle board, snorkel gear and even a hammock.
We are already talking about our next year's trip right back there. We have been many places but this was our very favorite trip. Thanks so much!

Thanks Paul and Julie for an exciting yet relaxing two weeks in wonderland! We stayed in the boathouse right over the water and enjoyed the heck out of that deck. Who says you can't catch your dinner from that balcony? We caught enough fish for plenty of ceviche and even more to share. We made (almost) daily kayak trips to Jonesville through the mangroves and snorkeled the various reaches of the bay including the old sunken ship. Junior does such a wonderful job taking care of the grounds. It felt like a botanical garden with quite a variety of flowers and trees. Thanks, too, to Franklin for his excellent touring services both on land and in the water. He really knows how to move that boat through the waves. We're looking to return again before too long.

Room Tip: The boathouse bedroom was very comfortable.

Wow!! Our family had the pleasure of staying in this little piece of paradise recently on a family vacation. We rented the entire estate and had plenty of room to be together and plenty of space to escape if needed. Junior, the caretaker and Franklin the property manager, "concierge" were most helpful in every way. They went above and beyond to make us feel welcome and they tended to our every need. The views from the main house and the boathouse are amazing. We really enjoyed snorkeling at the reef and exploring the canals, which carved their way through the mangroves, all easily accessed by kayaks from the boathouse. Paddle boarding and hand line fishing from the dock were both awesome new experiences. The island was a wonderful place to explore, both the east and west ends, but mostly meeting many locals made the vacation authentic.
