We stayed two nights here and we were the only guests. Casa is very centrally located and a short stroll from the main square. All the rooms looked lovely and the downstairs rooms opened out onto the lovely walled garden. Upstairs rooms where we were have a lovely terrace but no comfortable seating ( iron chairs vs padded armchairs like downstairs) which struck me as odd in a property so carefully furnished. As others have said the property is beautifully furnished with a range of antiques. The rooms are more simply furnished but perfectly adequate and reasonably large. They have a flat screen TV and fridge but oddly no safe. Shower is a reasonable size and modern. However steam shower did not do it for me although my husband loved it. If you have just a regular shower then the shower is disappointing - lacks power and sprays everywhere apart from the parts of your body you want it to hit! Whole property is very clean. There is wifi but it is very slow and coverage patchy. Whole property has stacks of ambience and is secluded and private.
Breakfast was always served in the garden on a beautiful table laid with fresh linen and flowers. It was a simple but perfectly adequate breakfast. Fruit and then one day eggs, the next pancakes. Just average in terms of quality. At this price which is expensive for Copan, I would have liked the choice of yoghurt and granola or in fact I would have just liked to be asked what I wanted. Unlike other reviewers no wine or coffee was waiting for us when we returned after a day's sightseeing but when I asked it appeared promptly and the next day it was offered.
They were very accommodating by allowing us to stay longer in the room at no extra charge. We had a pleasant and comfortable stay but experienced none of the warmth of service others refer to. It was perfunctory. No greeting unless we prompted with a good morning, hello etc, no questions or how our day was etc. We stay at several boutique hotels and I found this odd for a small property where we were the only guests.
