We ran across Paradise Found on tripadvisor and decided to stay there during our week in Honduras, we couldnt be happier! We got to the airport but our luggage didnt make it so Dante (the owner) and Mike who works with them took us downtown to go shopping, it took up half the day but they didnt mind. Thats an example of how this place is. Laid back, first class food and great times. Dante, Mike, or Kristin will set up any trip you want to do and may even go with you on some of them, trust me theres alot to do on the north coast but having someone "in the know" is very helpful as there are alot of places that are beautiful that arent even on a map. The fact that you come back and have an excellent meal every night and wake up to good coffee and a great breakfast makes it all the better. You will not find another place or people like this, its a must do. Cant wait to go back!

We had a GREAT time as well. Having you two here was like spending time with old friends. I'll NEVER forget the Cuero y Salado adventure..... that's the biggest crocodile I've EVER been up-close-and -personal with; WOW! We got a LOT in for your short stay..... looking forward to round "2" Hermanito.

All the Best,

We were visiting Sambo Creek for almost two weeks, and this place is for sure the best for eating, gazing at the caribbean ocean and for coziness. Situated above the beach, looking at the Cayos Cochinos in the horizon. Just sitting there, eating the best hamburger ever (all food is very delicious and not expensive at all) and enjoying the family-wibe from Kristin and Dante. Two loving people with a good sense of humour, funny stories and interesting knowledge about the Garifuna-community.
We stayed at another place in the village, but visited several times "Paradise Found". And it is for sure paradise found! Good atmosphere and very concerning for their guests. We really enjoyed the food, the view and the company. Next time we have to stay here as well.

Once again, Dante and Kristin have gone overboard with down to earth hospitality and the best home cooking on the north coast, trips into town to shop, going down the road to the hot springs and zip-line. Today I head out to Cayos Cochinos to scuba dive....its a one of a kind destination you HAVE to experience!!

Room Tip: I always go for the larger room with the window to the sea.....nothing like sleeping with the sound...

We were at the beach of Honduras for a team retreat (we are permanent residents). Although my family and I and our team were staying down the road at another hotel, we decided to eat at Paradise Found for dinner the first night of our retreat. The food was so good, we ate there every night of our 3 night stay! At the end of our 2nd night, Dante, the incredibly gifted chef, told us he was going to go buy fresh "supplies" the next day in town for our last dinner there. Wow, were we blown away by the quality, freshness, and tastiness of the food! Tuna, some kind of blackened sole, BBQ ribs, shrimp pasta (the shrimp were the size of some prawns!), and to-die-for hamburgers! It's hard to imagine another place like this with it's high quality food, incredible location and views perched over the Caribbean, and island atmosphere. It CAN'T be beat! Got to try it for yourselves...

We spent 6 nights and loved every minute. Dante and Kristin took care of everything. They arranged for activities and transportation when needed, and Dante sometimes accompanied us. He made sure our needs were met, even walking the ladies to their rooms at the end of the evening. The atmosphere was very homey, and we enjoyed getting to know the other guests. We enjoyed competitive dart games in the evening, and there are other games as well (like dominoes). PF is a friendly place, and I'm recommending it to everyone I know who is considering a trip to Central America. As to the room, bed was good, shower was hot, AC worked. It's middle of the road accommodations--not a resort but not rough either. The beach was clean, and we particularly enjoyed white water rafting on the Rio Congrejal, zip-lining, the animal rescue center, and snorkeling Cayos Cochinos. Lots more to do, from waterfall hikes to touring the nature preserve.

We REALLY enjoyed your company! Your daughter was a JOY to be around. Had a BLAST rafting, sorry this old man fell out of the raft.... it happens! Thankfully, Mike was there to grab me back into the "safe zone". Send the girls back down when they need a break; they will be WELL taken care of Mrs. Patty, !!!!!! Promise.

All the Best,

If you want to go to a beautiful exotic location and experience a wonderful cultural exchange, I would encourage you to consider going to Paradise Found out on Sambo Creek in La Ceiba Honduras. There you will find one of the funkiest little spots out on the beach to chillax and hang out with some of the nicest people you will ever meet. The food is fabulous, the scenery is fantastic, but the hosts and the people surrounding them are what really makes this place special. Dante, Kristin and Mike provide a great atmosphere and they are dedicated to helping you relax and enjoy the rich culture that IS Honduras. Some things to remember about this place:
- Honduras is a developing country, so you will not be stepping in to the Ritz Carlton. Paradise Found is a simply stated place with clean rooms, hot showers and AC that worked well. We did have some difficulty with electricity and WiFi, but the drinks stayed cold and we really didn't come down for an internet connection - the best stuff to do is outside anyway. People here are not as fortunate as the rest of the world with financial resources, but I am convinced they are happier than most of the people in the (over) developed world. You read about crime in Honduras, and yes, you will see armed police at the airport and on the road. However I never once felt threatened, and our hosts made sure we had rides to and from anywhere we wanted to go. We even spent a morning walking through the barrio down on Sambo Creek talking with locals and they were friendly and very giving of what they had - amazingly friendly.

-Hand-crafted experience. Dante Kristin, Mike and the rest of their local staff are dedicated to providing you with an amazing time - all you have to do is ask. What do you want for dinner? When do you want to eat? Need a drink? Just say the word - heck, they may even let you join them in the market and pick out your fish if you're up for the ride! Cocount encrusted hogfish with Dante's own tartar sauce was the [--]... Dante knows everyone around and can get you hooked up with snorkeling, rafting, hot springs, fishing - just ask and tell him when you want to go. Kristin is the chief attitude adjuster - hand her your money and she will make it work for all your food and drink stuff. Follow her lead and she will show you how to chill Honduran style. Mike is the utility player that makes it all go smoothly - the quiet one, he is never imposing but he is always there when you need something. I think he has mental telepathy, but in a very good way.

The community: Together, these people have the whole community of Sambo Creek supporting them. They are good patrons of the local people and they have worked hard to understand how to co-exist well in this community. They provide employment, food and shelter and other opportunities that other less-thoughtful people would certainly neglect - and it's all just another day in Sambo Creek for the folks at Paradise Found.

All things said - this was one of the best getaways I have had in a long long time. I will be back to Paradise Found as soon as I can break away from the hustle and bustle for sure!

Hosting the DaveClark4 was nothing less than our pleasure. Glad you enjoyed the beautiful flora and fauna that Honduras has to offer. The locals STILL talk about the "muy importante" Gringos who are going to return to help them become more proficient at gardening/harvesting/subsisting on their limited spaces, as well as limited budgets. Many are preparing areas for "eco-zones"; praying you'll come back soon. We know you will!

Until then Hermano,

Dante', Kristin & Mike

We spent 3 nights there. We were helped in everything we wanted to do, to a degree even pampered! We were fed delicious food and treated like members of the family. The place itself is in the perfect location to explore Cayos Cochinos and the people organizing the trip are super professional and very safety aware. And the trip to the hot-springs is a must, along with the mud bath!
My only very minor complaint is that prices for rooms are high for a backpacker...still, compared to next door competitors, the best value for money.
We really enjoyed our stay!
