We are so happy to have discovered Baranda here on Trip Advisor. We went out on a limb one night as we were in charge of finding dining options for ourselves and 4 guests, and we visited Baranda sight unseen. We were so happy we did! I think everyone was delighted with the evening and the quality of food. We were a group of six and the staff was very accommodating, they welcomed us immediately and allowed us one of several dining locations. We opted for a smaller more private room which was very nice. They have both indoor and outdoor dining options, next time we might try the patio which looked really attractive. The menu has many good selections with a wide variety of choice in both entrees and dinner plates. The food is very attractively prepared and it was fun to see each dish as it was served to our party. Some of the items we particularly enjoyed was the beef stroganoff, the coconut shrimp, chicken curry. For an entree, the combination entree dish was wonderful, not sure exactly what it was called. Also the ceviche entree was delicious. You have to try the Molten Lava cake . . . it's amazing. Be prepared though and order it a little early as it takes about 20 minutes to prepare. Prices are moderate, and a good value for the quality and quantity of menu items. Nice ambiance with linen clothes, excellent serving staff. We recommend it and will certainly return soon.

The restaurant shows a menu made up of Indian and local flavors, which is good for a change if you have been in Honduras for a while.
The ceviche is excellent. Too bad they have it only as an appetizer and not as a main dish.
We tried also the shrimp, and they were quite good.
Service is a bit slow.
The air conditioning is at its maximum, making the room too cold if you are not wearing a jacket or a sweater. Beware, because they will not slow down the A/C even if you request them to do so.
The music outside (too loud and tacky) ruins what could have been a good place to sit, drink wine, and enjoy a nice conversation.

The food was good and fresh. Menu had good options. I enjoyed my hindu fusion plate, just the right amount of spices. The presentation did no justice to the taste and took away from the experience. They need to do something about the bathroom. First thing you see as you walk in to the restaurant is the restroom in front of you, and if you are unlucky, someone left the door opened with toilet to greet you. Parking is a challenge since it is a house converted to a restaurant, so get there early.

This place has the food worth going to visit, just needs to work on detaila mentioned above.

What can I say, found this place on tripadvisor. Went for dinner at 730. pâté to start, fusion Hindu chicken for our mains and the molton choc cake. $40 dollars and worth ever mouth watering taste. Amazing! Only here for the one night before flying back to Canada but wish I could stay one more day just for this place.
