“A beautiful small square”
Review of Parque Central

It is a tiny but very pretty square. People are hanging around sitting on the benches around the huge trees.

Very busy and nice plaza, there you can see the statue of Francisco Morazan, one of the great heroes of the country who fought for independence and dreamed of Central America as one nation. You can also visit the beautiful colonial Cathedral where you will feel as if you have traveled back in time a couple of hundred years. The whole area is currently being restored to its original beauty. It is a must see if you visit Tegucigalpa. Walk along the Paseo Liquidambar and it will take you to the Museum of National Identity and the National Theater " Manuel Bonilla" .

as mentioned by most reviewer, this is a great starting and ending point when visiting tegucigalpa. from here, you can walk/travel to the other attractions.

if you are not used to a very crowded place, then this not the place for you. i passed by here the morning and afternoon - it remains crowded. lots of shops around the area so finding a place to eat is not an issue.

We have been here more than once. It is always packed with people. The church on the park is beautiful and worth a look. There is a flea type market there as well which has row after row of clothing, hard goods, souvenirs, etc. A visit there gives a great local Honduran city feel.
