Three of us stayed here while on a consignment-store shopping trip, and we were very pleased. The motel room was clean, comfortable and roomy - and couldn't have been more conveniently located for downtown Athens and the lovely antebellum homes in that area. The price was good for a room with two queen-sized beds, and you couldn't beat the free breakfast or the 24/7 coffee machine. I've never seen one that offered cappuccino and cafe mocha, and I enjoyed them both. There were Jimmy Dean sausage sandwiches, bananas and yogurt, in addition to the usual motel fare, so a good breakfast was had by all. I'd definitely return to this Days Inn.
Thank you for you kind review. We hope to see you on your next shopping trip to Athens.
I was very let down by my stay at the Athens, GA Days Inn hotel. The room I stayed in had no master switch for the lights, but rather a light switch that lacked the necessary hardware to turn on the lights. Several of the lamps did not work, the fan in the bathroom did not work, and there was mold on the ceiling and in the bathroom vent. More minor problems included poor housekeeping and a decor beneath the standards of Days Inns I have previously stayed at. The management was also unresponsive and rude. I would not recommend staying at this hotel. The only positive was that we did not spend a lot of time there.
