“Not Again”
Reviewed 27 April 2012

We went for a Masters practice round, and had never been to Augusta before. The rooms were old and dirty and smelled strongly of cleaning solution, probably to mask worse odors. My wife became ill from the fumes. Compared to other hotels during Masters week, the room was relatively inexpensive ($170), but we'd have paid twice the price for a decent room.

Room Tip: Try another hotel.

This motel is very old, tired, and run down. However, that being said, it was absolutely great for Master's week. The owners were friendly and accommodating all week long. The rooms were worn and outdated, but clean. The linens were all fresh and clean and the staff was helpful with extra towels, etc. We were allowed to check in early (really early into 1 of our 3 rooms) so we could change and head to the Master's (within walking distance-just a mile give or take). The building being old seemed to mean lots of insulation, the room was quiet and we didn't here anything from the next room. This is a far cry from the type of place we usually stay but with the jacked up prices for Master's week this worked. We will definitely stay here again for the Master's.

The hotel was quite simple and it was decent. I would not normally stay in a simple hotel, but it served its purpose during Masters week. I was a bit older, but good value when the prices of hotels go through the roof during the Masters tournament. Felt safe, quiet and good enough rooms to allow us to enjoy our 4 days here. The service was excellent and the hotel staff were great. It is only a mile from the golf course and there is a mexican restaurant onsite which was good as well.

Hotel was old and dirty. Pieces of carpet were missing in our room. Microwave and refrig did not work. Phone numbers were written on the bathroom door. The whole experience was absolutely disgusting
