A very beautiful beach on the north shore. Parking is imited so get there early! Rent chairs and an umbrella so you can enjoy the day there. Secluded, uncrowded and beautiful. Many turtles and good snorkeling.

The parking is a little complicated because there's nothing really designated for it. You can park in the lot by the jewelry store down the road and walk to an entrance or wait for a spot to open up down a single, narrow dirt path RIGHT in front of the beach (we got lucky and found a tight spot). The sand is kinda sharp but it doesn't stick as much. The whole area is a reef so its primarily snorkel/scuba territory but there are some open spots in between for kiddie-pools to lounge in. No big surf waves or anything because the reef breaks em down far out. Had a GREAT time! No complaints (: Plus, if you wanna shower, just drive a little down the road towards the other parking area and there are showers there.

You can sit and watch the waves and surfers here for hours. It is such a beautiful spot to watch and see the waves form!

Once you snorkel here, nothing else compares. But you need to get there in early morning to get a parking spot and while the surf is calmest, generally, from April-Sept.

If you like to snorkel, Tunnels Beach is a great place. You can almost count on going past Tunnels and parking in the park area, then walking back to the access to Tunnels Beach. Walking on the road is a lot easier than walking from the park in the sand to Tunnels. But once there, walk to the eastern most sandy entrance to the water and let the current carry you west while you observe the reef and the beautiful fish. Tip: Keep your feet off of the reef. There were quite a few people there that didn't seem to have a problem stepping on the reef. That's a no-no wherever you go. Water depth is your choice - from a few feet deep to over 20. Very clear and a great time.
