“Best money spent”

Be sure and take the Blue Hawaiian Helicopter ride. It is spectacular. The only way to see most of the island.

“So Mainland”
3 of 5 bubbles Reviewed 21 December 2013 via mobile

This is the most developed part of Kauai. It's also where the airport is located. Filled with many of the stores and fast food restaurants you have come to find on the mainland. It takes away from the beauty of Kauai and old time Hawaii. Most of the natural wonders of Kauai are not located in Lihu'e.

“Easy to See the Attractions from Lihue”
4 of 5 bubbles Reviewed 22 October 2013

This is the largest city on Kauai. It is a pleasant little town. It is small town enough but has everything that is needed. The airport supports many flight each day and accommodates large airplanes. The resorts and hotels are excellent. There is a wide variety of restaurants including fast food-subway, Burger King-to casual and high end restaurants. There are several cultural activities that are available including a production of South Pacific. Concerning the natural attractions there are plenty to visit in and around Lihue. The island is small enough where any tourist renting an automobile is within easy driving distance of Lihue. When driving around the island the average speed is 30 mph. Thus do the easy calculation of driving time to the attractions. Enjoy Lihue and all it has to offer.

“Back Country Adventures Tubing”
4 of 5 bubbles Reviewed 5 October 2013

Our guides were Marty and Nate , so much fun, these guys are great. You may have an encounter with a wild boar or just maybe Nate hiding in the grass !! The tubing adventure is through several tunnels and the irrigation tubes it's very relaxing and the water is "refreshing , life changing or exhilarating" is what I believe it was described as. Lunch was also provided and the drive there Nate was very informative about the island itself.

“Back Country Adventures”
5 of 5 bubbles Reviewed 11 September 2013

We had a wonderful time ziplining followed by tubing. The staff was helpful, caring and patient. Especially B.J., Aliha, and Alin, who were the zipline team Ricky, Mika, Malia, and Marty were part of the tubing team who made our adventure so much fun. We laughed alot.

There was no need to purchase food, because two meals were included! I especially loved the apple bananas! : )

If you are doing both attractions, I would recommend ziplining first and then tubing.
