Maybe there were some signs alerting people to this treacherous 1-lane road where the state road ends, but I did not see any. We made it safely to the town of Kahakuloa and calmed our nerves over some shave ice at Lorraines. She also had incredible banana bread. And a chocolate dipped banana bread ice cream sandwich. She also welcomed us to the backyard (with a fantastic view) and showed some of the banana trees and showed our 6-year old how the “touch me not” flowers worked. It was a nice stop, but the whole time I was stressing about the drive back. We made it back to the state road, but I don’t think I’d every try that again.
