They are very accommodating to large groups. We love coming here. There are rides for all ages and adrenaline levels plus the food and drinks are extremely affordable. You may also camp and picnic here to keep costs down. The all you can eat bbq is perfect for meeting nearly everyone's needs. They have drink passes you can buy as well and do fill up your reusable water bottles for free. This was our fourth time here and we are never disappointed.

We planned a family reunion at Silverwood before we realized that we would not be able to have the "full experience" on our chosen dates of travel (our bad). The waterpark was not quite open in May, and the park hours were pretty limited. So... we made the best of the situation and enjoyed the time we did have (and the attractions that were available).

The park is definitely well loved and maintained, and we enjoyed all of the meticulous landscaping and careful care of the grounds. We also enjoyed the train ride (and accompanying show) and the magic show. The rest of our experience was just okay. The rides we had time to check out were a bit less exciting than rides we were used to at other larger parks, and the staff seemed a bit on the young/inexperienced side, but it was still an enjoyable experience overall.

Sadly, we were not able to have a meal at the park, as our chosen restaurant hours were not what we had anticipated, so again... we missed out. BUT, we did enjoy a few snacks. Everything we ate (from kettle corn to cotton candy) was fine. There was nothing we will find ourselves craving for years to come, but there was also nothing that left a bad taste our mouths.

We were surprised that Silverwood has not invested in its own hotel accommodations, as we had a bit of a drive from Couer d'Alene to get there, but I guess the fact that the park is only open sporadically between September and May might explain that. And, we were very happy to find the Hampton Inn, as it was a beautiful hotel.

Overall, we enjoyed our trip. Since we have spent A LOT of time at Disneyland, I think our expectations might have gotten the better of us, but we will definitely visit again (during a time when we can take advantage of all of the attractions Silverwood has to offer... and longer hours in which to do so):)

This is my third trip to Silverwood and this time we finally rode the Aftershock. They are not kidding about it being high intensity. Seriously, if you have any kind of motion sickness reconsider before you ride.
We ate at the Full Moon Saloon for lunch on our first day. Best prices in town. Pretty quiet which is a relief if you need a break from the crowds and noise and they have beer.
We ate at the Chuck Wagon in the pavilion on day two. The price as of this review was $12.99 per person over age 10. For the money it is probably the best value. The setting is very nice. The food is slightly above the usual theme park food and it is all you can eat, which, if you have teenage boys, is a good value. Limited choices and no beer lol but the peace and quiet of the pavilion setting is very nice. We were there on a Sunday and it was very peaceful.
We had an opportunity to actually visit all of the gift shops and if you are looking for souvenirs then make sure to check each shop - they really do have different things in each place.
The park remains a gem for the NW. The ticket prices are very reasonable compared to Disney properties. The staff is friendly and helpful.
We went for the Garfield Weekend which offered a discounted ticket price. It was worth it even though the water park is not open yet.

A great place for kids. Lots of different rides and things to do. Loved the train ride and the related show. Well done. Restaurants are good overall and not crazy expensive.

Really, you have to check this out. This is the summary: it's a miniature Disneyland but better, because it has buffalo, trains (with authentic shoot outs), waterpark, and thrill-seeker rides. It's also segmented by age for the ride areas/toddlers, kids, then adults, with rides on one end, waterpark on the other, and in between, the wildlife area. The bonus is the food-an all you can eat BBQ in the middle of the park is relatively cheap, and the elephant ears are all fresh, and honestly, this has to be the cleanest park I've every visited (even compared to Europe, where they are super clean).

A few tips: go on the opening day of the country fair. The place is deserted, so check your listings. If you can't manage that, go on a afternoon before people get off work. It's still empty compared to most parks, but for some odd ball reason, we've found no one wants to go Friday night.

baby buffalos! Last year on the opening day, we saw all the baby buffalo-and you see this by taking the wild west train ride. it goes through the park, the train stops and a wild west shoot out takes place--have your camera ready for the buffalo. it's the coolest.

food tip: you can bring backpacks (they check them in security) so lots of people bring their own food--and you can bring in an empty bottle (so you can't bring in alcohol).

pricing- if you go more than a few times, get the pass. It's super cheap (as in, 120-140ish for the entire season).
