“Very low key relaxing cabin”
5 of 5 bubbles Reviewed 30 June 2013

We planned a trip Silverwood Amusement Park and this was the closest accommodation we could find. Best idea ever! We rented the cabin that could sleep the 6 of us. Breakfast is not included in this cabin, however, Daryl brought us snacks and made us feel completely at home. All the basics were there for us to cook our own breakfast, which we did as there are very limited restaurants in the area directly around Silverwood. The weather was not ideal so we spent quite a bit of time at the cabin and enjoyed the tire swing, yard games and barn animals. The view is fabulous and hospitality was outstanding. This is the place to relax and escape from the perils of the city. There is no television, no WIFI and limited cell service. Board games are provided and we brought some cards. Great family time!

Thank you, Happytravelm0m. First, we're sorry for the rainy, cold weather. We appreciate you making the best of the situation. Our hearts always love to hear how families spend special times together and your words made our hearts happy! How kind.
Secondly, sorry the wifi in the bunkhouse didn't come through for you. We're glad you posted. We'll check the antenna and improve that.
If you would like to let us know what would improve the value and the rooms, we'd love your input. Our email is info@cedarmountainfarm.com.
Thanks again for your awesome review. We loved having you here and would be honored to welcome you back next time.
Blessings,
Al and Daryl

We have stayed in numerous B and B's but this was one of the Best!! It was a beautiful location, quiet and very scenic!! The lodge where we stayed was made out of logs from the farm. Everything was so neat and clean. The breakfast each morning was awesome. Al and Daryl were wonderful hosts. We definitely will go back to this location again!! Don't miss Cedar Mountain Farm Bed and Breakfast if you are in the area!!!

This bed and breakfast is awesome. The host are very nice and the environment is very clean. This is a farm setting and they do allow pets. My husband and I took had our honeymoon here and we were given complimentary sparkling wine just for celebrations. Al& Darlyn home made cookies and smoothies and the breakfast on a whole was great. I would definitely go back. They are great people and just lovely. They also have rabbits, horses, chickens and all sorts of farm animals. Really great people and they are just wonderful.

The property has hiking trails and lots of pine trees. It is really natural and they do eat healthy. We went to the silver-wood Park that was great too.
Thanks from Jay&Kay Jamaican girl

We stopped at Cedar Mountain Farm on short notice as a stop on a long road trip. We travel this route occasionally, and have previously stayed in local hotels. Al & Daryl's B&B will be our preferred place to stay in the area from now on. After a brief conversation, we felt we had made some wonderful new friends. They are excellent hosts, and have a contagious love for their beautiful farm. The rest was so very peaceful, and the breakfast a scrumptious feast. As we drove away, we resolved not only to return next time we need to stay a night in the Coeur D'Alene area, but to plan a more extended stay in the future. Whether you are interested in a brief stop-over, or a week of family vacation, we highly recommend Cedar Mountain Farm B & B.

I recently stayed in the bunkhouse at Cedar Mountain Farm as a getaway and meet up with old friends and family. We were all coming from three different states, and our group included 5 adults and two kiddos (3 years and 9 months old). The bunkhouse was perfect for our group. The wood-burning stove kept the cabin warm and cozy and the heated tile bathroom floor was a special perk. Strolling the farm grounds amongst the animals was a treat as well. They have horses, miniature horses, chickens, roosters, goats, sheep and one llama, and an energetic, yellow lab, farm dog. The B & B is only 20 minutes from Coeur D'Alene too. I'd highly recommend staying at Cedar Mountain Farm. Daryl and Al were wonderful hosts.

I took a 2-day personal retreat as the new year began, and Daryl and Al offered me the use of the Bunkhouse--an entire cabin all to myself! Al graciously helped me when I let the fire in the stove go out (a couple of times), and Daryl was always readily available for me to ask questions. They let me borrow a pair of snowshoes, and just walking the perimeter of one of their fields in the snow gave me 1.5-miles of a good workout. With the ground covered in snow and a cozy cabin, it was a perfectly peaceful place to retreat. I enjoyed getting to visit the animals, too! It would be great for anyone--family, group of friends, couples...

My husband and I received a gift of a night at Cedar Mountain for our anniversary. It was a wonderful stay! Daryl and Al are wonderful hosts, serve a delicious breakfast (tailored to my gluten-free needs), and make great conversation. It was our first stay at a B&B, so we were uncertain, but on the drive home we were already planning a way to come back during the late spring or early summer to bring our teens for a hiking adventure on the mountain, followed by a stay in the stand-alone cabin. Thank you, Daryl and Al!

Hi Heidi,
Thanks so much for your kind, heartfelt words. We'd love to have you back with your kids. Hiking is a little muddy right now, but should improve in the next few weeks. So glad we have the honor of your first B & B stay. :)
Blessings,
Al and Daryl
