What an appropriate name for such a great restaurant. The atmosphere is warm and inviting. The decor is made of rich golds and pumpkins and russet tones. The staff treat you like friends, take great care of you, and have a masterful knowledge of all things on the menu.
The martini list has a good variety of before and after dinner flavors, and the wine list has some very excellent and still quite affordable choices.
The menu itself has a pretty solid italian steakhouse feel to it. A nice feature is that all meals come with a tossed salad served with this fantastic lemon-thyme dressing, as well as a dish of mixed veggies with the entree for the table to share.
They have a nice room that can be used for private parties, and they also offer a Sunday Brunch. Though we have never had to wait for a table, weekend evenings can be pretty busy. A nice thing about Solace is that one never feels rushed. It is an excellent spot to sit and have some extra coffee after dinner and not feel like you are wasting anyone's time. The owner can often be found strolling around, chatting with patrons at tables and the bar.
All in all, this is a fantastic restaurant. The prices are fair, the people super friendly and the food definitely speaks for itself. Give it a try. You won't be disappointed.
