This is a classic small town Bed and Breakfast in the Midwest. This old Victorian home is both warm and inviting. Sherry the owner helped us find some great antique shops in the area and provided a wonderful breakfast. We will definitely use this B&B again as it is close to the train transportation to downtown Chicago.

This was my first visit to a bed and breakfast, but my best introduction into the experience of staying at one. I would recommend this place to anyone. Parking at this place felt like a visit to someone's home. Entering the place felt the same, as a warm visit to the home of a friend away from home. As a lot of history is eclipsed in suburban sprawl, this place is a step back into time with the regal magic of the Victorian Era and a refreshing break away from chain hotels. The hostess (Sherry) was sweet, accommodating and a pleasure to be around. The charm of the place was pleasant to the point of speechlessness. An award-winning place which deserves each and every accolade. Highly recommended. Outstanding.

Room Tip: This place books quickly, so keep that in mind. The Presidential Chamber is perfect for a couples getaway. Treat yourself. Port Edwards Restaurant is a couple of blocks east and is a great place to dine. This place is easy to miss, tucked away on a short residential street. But a place you'll never forget.

A nice bed an breakfast in a small Victorian style town. Many good places to eat within walking distance. Also close to other small towns for exploring. The staff were very friendly providing great service and assistance with planning sight seeing.

The owner is a very charming Christian lady who is an excellent cook. Her breakfasts are Awesome and selection of teas is very large! The home is delicately and daintily decorated. She also throws delicious tea parties. We've been back several times.

We stayed here as a change of pace from the normal motel chains. The room was very nice and our host Sherry was very accomodating as we arrived early. The breakfast was excellent. The town of Alogonquin is quite a change from the normal suburban area. There is the river walk park and what appeared to be several nice restaurants within walking distance.
