We were treated very well at Jameson's Char House. It was a great experience especially after having a streak of so-so meals at some other well respected "steakhouses" in other parts of the country. We met with out of town family a Jameson's, and the staff was so nice to make our stay and meal easy. The reservation was at 6:00, our guests arrived at 6:20, no problem. One more showed up at 7:00. Still not a problem for this old world hospitality minded establishment. We occupied the table longer than Occupy Wallstreet, needed an extra chair, ordered throughout the evening, and it just didn't faze our waiter or anyone else. That was really nice. We did cocktails and onion rings until we were all assembled. The steaks were great. I can't say that for every restaurant that calls itself a steakhouse. I'm a Wisconsin farm boy, and I know good beef. This was good beef cooked nicely. The sides were very good as well. We even had dessert. I can recommend the caramel apple crunch, and the chocolate mousse. I'd like to be able to go back and try more. Make reservations and go with the flow. They do everything they can to be helpful. I just spent over $400 for four people at a Ruth's Chris Steakhouse in Chattanooga, TN, but at Jameson's the better food and service was under $300 for five people. Great value in the suburbs!
