Our family group had two rooms for our trip to an Iowa State basketball room. Two relatives stayed in a regular room, and I paid only a few bucks more for a suite to share with my two sons.

Rooms were average, but clean and well appointed. Hotel appears to have been updated in the last few years. Lots of channels on the TV. My sons liked the pool. There are not many tables in the breakfast area, but that didn't seem to be a problem during our visit.

There were a few minor drawbacks. Our rooms were not ready upon our arrival, so we couldn't check in until after the game. Even by the low standards of pull-out couches, the pull-out couch in our suite was a very uncomfortable bed.

There are certainly cheaper hotels in Ames, but this offers a good value for your money. We recommend it.

Thank you for reviewing your stay with us. We're glad you found our location to the university convenient and I hope you had fun at the football game. Please contact us when you come to Ames in the future!

Stayed at this hotel with several colleagues. In town working with Greener Ways blog. Spacious lobby made for a great place to meet and discuss business, as well as the business center that was available. Great breakfast. FAST Wi-Fi and wired connections accommodated all of my group's needs. Very friendly staff. Would stay again.

Better than the average Best Western the front desk staff are very helpful and warm. Has a family-friendly environment. Simple, decent breakfast--nothing extraordinary but good value for the cost. The only slight issue both times I stayed here -- it was rather chilly in the hotel..found the hallways quite cold..brrr..Free internet access was nice too.

Went with family to look at ISU. Needed a room to accomidate 5 which was hard to find and still be affordable. The room was nice and not too crowded with all the beds. The hot breakfast had lots of variety. Everything, including the room, was clean. There is a really nice sitting area outside. The hotel was very close to campus and the staff was friendly. Would recommend and would stay again with a large group.

We took our son to Ames to check out Iowa State University, so we stayed overnight at the Best Western Park Inn and Suites. I was very impressed, the exterior of the Motel was very nice, with a front porch and hanging flower baskets. The rooms were average size with a small refrigerator, clothes iron, hair dryer and coffee maker. The beds were the best motel beds I have ever slept on, they were soft and comfortable. The pool area was nice and the pool was warm. There was also an exercise room that we used. Another fantastic part was the breakfast. They had scrambled eggs, sausage, waffles, cold cereal, muffins, bagels, and toast. One of the best breakfasts I have eaten at a motel. I would definitely stay there again.
