We actually have been to this place twice, and both times the food was excellent, and the serving sizes were perfect. We typically split a meal and we had lunch there on Mothers Day weekend, it was great! The cinnamon rolls are delicious just like everything else we had there.

I have found the service to be somewhat spotty, but always forgive them because the food is so good.

We stopped at this Village Inn while traveling through the area. Not really knowing anything about the restaurant, but trusting the chain name, we decided to give it a try. Our experience was, in a word, average.

We had a party of six, and were seated within a few minutes, something that is nice. Our server was extremely friendly and went out of her way to accommodate us. Our food was a little on the slow side arriving to our table, but somewhat understandable given the size of our group.

The food - good and bad. Good - portion sizes were, for the most part, decent. (The only complaint about portion size in our group was from the person that got fresh fruit - 3 pieces of honeydew, and 3 pieces of cantaloupe - not much of a serving), those of us that got hot food had extremely hot food - very fresh, very good. The food tasted wonderful, however the temperature leads us to the bad. Most of the group had lukewarm food. (The skillets were the only thing that were hot). Add to that, the bacon was on the burnt side. Nothing horrible, but enough that most of our party left theirs behind.

Overall, this is an average restaurant. Everyone has an off day, maybe we just hit one of those.

I love pork chops & eggs ..they had 2 large & juicy chops along with the eggs and hash browns. My wife had hot oatmeal & a muffin ( She's the healthy one) liked that they had dried cranberries in the oatmeal instead of raisins
