We booked the hotel for the first part of our honeymoon. On the web-form, we chose to upgrade to the "ocean-view". Once there, what a disappointment!
1- There was actually no "ocean-view" rooms as the hotel is U shaped and not exactly ON THE BEACH (roomswise). And we had no balcony! So you need to jump over a sofa and open a high window to be able to see outside!
2- The room was dusty. It seems like the cleaning was done superficially.
3- The bed was so uncomfortable and had a major bump in it, not the type of bed you'd like to share in your honeymoon. Plus I was surprised we didn't have the typical Sofitel beds I experienced abroad.
4 - The TV was SO OLD! Like the big grey machines that were replaced everywhere else by flatscreens...I was surprised to find this type of TVs in a Sofitel room!
5- It was winter, so no swimming. The -very nice- area the hotel has on the beach was not well taken care of. We actually didn't find a single chair to sit in and just look at the ocean.
6 - We had dinner at the SO restaurant. We were basically the only clients. In the middle of our dinner, a group of men arrived, stood next to us for 5 long minutes speaking SO LOUD! Then we realized it, after asking the waiters, that it was the restaurant's MANAGER, a very rude French man, planning a business dinner with businessmen. Man, if you want to do business, respect your customers first!

Aside from this, the pool is huge and very nice. The food is great at the hotel. But to pay almost 500$ a night for this is being a fool. It was at the highest a 3-star hotel.

Room Tip: Don't pay the upgrade for an ocean view, that doesnt exist as a matter of fact. Book a garden or a pool view.

Stayed here for a week and recieved EXCELLENT service from everybody. Staff were very polite & attentive - always said hello asked how you are. This hotel has over 200 rooms and still we were never kept waiting long! Check in was fine, we were given tea and a cold flannel to refresh whilst we took in the lovliness of the hotel. Had noisy neighbours but the manager dealt with them swiftly. Room immaculate & very comfortable. Cleaned & turned down every day. Loccitane Toileteries whoo hoo! Location is excellent re beach and quietness. Difficult moody people make their own stay difficult anywhere. We will visit here again without a doubt. Great work Sofitel Staff you all deserve more praise especially the door men, maids, cleaners and women who cooked breakfast on the terrace.

Room Tip: Ground Floor room is fine as close exits everywhere to beach and quiet. No waiting for lifts!

We Have just come back from a 6 night stay at Sofitel and we got everything we wanted from this holiday apart from a decent cup of tea. The buffet breakfast was gorgeous plenty of choice only thing missing were baked beans nice area outside where you can eat or you can sit outside. We had one evening meal which was Moroccan food which was also nice. The outside area is lovely with big beds to lie on and hammocks, the pools look nice but are not really practical for swimming and all but 1 of them were always cold. This hotel is quite far from any shops but a short taxi ride or its a nice walk along the beach front apart from when you are being hassled by the street sellers and beggars that don't like to take no for an answer. The old red taxis are readily available and were even fighting over us at one point but make sure you agree a price with them before you get in as they do overcharge when they see you have come from that hotel. The room was abit dissapointing we had a view of the road at the side and the room was very dark with all the dark wardrobes apart from
that the bed was comfy bathroom
was spacious with his and hers sinks and plenty of wardrobes and drawers for your clothes. In the night we went to the club in the hotel but as with getting up early everyday we found it hard to stay awake enough to get ready to go to the club for 11pm when it opened. The drinks were quite expensive but the ease of just charging them to your room and paying before you check out made it stress free. All in all I think this was a really nice hotel we wanted a place where we could relax and unwind but still have something to do on the night and Sofitel ticked all the boxes. All I'd say is we visited the new Sofitel next door and if you want something modern and even more laid back go there we will be next time.

This hotel is perfect for that winter holiday in the sun.The rooms were very clean and comfortable the linen was of high quality and the pillows and mattress exceptionally comfortable.Beautiful bathroom and plenty of draw and wardrobe space.
The hotel has a fantastic location right on the beach,in fact it has its own section on the beach directly in front of the hotel, which is staffed all day and are there to bring you fresh towels drinks and food if so desired. The huge double bed loungers are wonderful to lie on and you are kept cool by the sea breeze but be careful !!! those suns rays can be very powerful!!
The hotel staff were fabulous and nothing was too much trouble.
The pool area is probably one of the best we have seen and is clean and well maintained and staffed well to cater for all your needs.
Breakfast was very nice in deed the only down side was there were never any cereal bowls available you always had to ask and the fact that the birds had total access to the bakery station puts you off eating anything from there, please dont !!!eat off the left hand side of the top shelf everything on there gets pecked by the birds there should be some netting over the outside entrance to prevent the birds getting in and the staff do not seem to think this is a hygiene problem as no one shoos them off.
Taxis are always outside but be warned they are old red cars don't know what make remember its 20dhs during the day to get you into town and 30-50dhs after dark always ask the price before you get in and SIT IN THE BACK!!
All in all we had a fabulous time and we didn't want to leave and we will definitely be coming back.

Room Tip: looking at the hotel from the beach have top floor rooms on the left as these are the coolest rooms as the sun never shines on them .

A very clean and luxurios hotel nice location for a rest , we only stayed 4 days as part of a multi location trip, we could have not stayed more as we like adventure and cultur. agadir is not the real Morocco just a nice resting nest.. The room was a bit small we had a double classic and we were supposed to get a free apgrade that never arrived. The staff friendly but a bit disorganized. Restaurant could be improved but there is good choice and we are very fussy, we had fun in the retro night club .
