“Filthy”
Reviewed 22 July 2014

Just stayed near Taghazout in a villa at Madraba, Anchor point. Firstly the villa was described as luxurious. It was anything but, on the first night there were two cockroaches running around (big ones). The place was shabby and tired. The photos were deceiving. The roof terrace looked amazing on the photo, in reality, it was overlooked, small and dirty. Beware of places described as luxury in morrocco, as they generally are not our idea of luxury. We couldn't put toilet paper down the toilet. The biggest problem with the place was the general rubbish, it is everywhere, the beaches and surrounding area is covered in litter, nobody seems to care about the piles of stinking rubbish everywhere. The town of Taghazout, which is generally a winter surf town stinks, it is filthy, you have to hold your nose whilst walking on the beach as there is a smell of sewage. There are piles of rubbish everywhere, even nappies strewn around. I love Morrocco and have been three years in a row with my family. The Morroccans have the most amazing coastline, which the government need to start protecting from litter. They do a great job of fining people who are driving. If you drive, as we did, beware bizarre speed traps everywhere and instant fines. I do not recommend staying in Taghazout or anywhere near there. Although beach 25 along the coast is nice and clean. We have stayed in Agadir which has a lovely beach and Essouirra which is an amazing town and has a great beach. Please clean your country up Morrocco!

“What a find!”
Reviewed 9 June 2014

Went for the day from Agadir and fell in love with Taghazout! Got a white taxi, dropped us off and picked us up later. Went to main beach first for camel ride, great fun, then clambered over dunes to the village. After a delicious local tagine we wandered down steep streets to Fisherman's Beach - paradise! How quaint and beautiful, didn't want to leave! Can't wait to return, Taghazout is unforgettable!

“Nice Beach in chilled atmosphere”
Reviewed 11 March 2014 via mobile

This beach is a nice one. Good for surfing or relaxing. It is within walking distance of the city/village. Think you could do kite surfing but you need to bring your own equipment. However surfing boards and wetsuits can be borrowd in shops in Tanghazout.
