I would agree with all of the previous reviewers that the staff are 'wonderful, friendly, etc' HOWEVER. What none of the reviews mention are the other guests. My wife and I spent a week in the Argana in late January. We booked a junior suite for what we assumed would be an additional luxury. If the suite was luxury, I dread to think what the standard rooms are like. The suite element was an extended balcony, which was very pleasant during the day. However, during the evening/night we discovered that this 'suite' was directly over the bar, and that the hotel was popular with residents who enjoyed a 'sing sing' well into the early hours. I learned from other hotel guests that the bar staff encourage these sing songs as they are very profitable to the hotel. I have no objection to this, provided that guests who would like a decent nights sleep on their holiday are made aware of this.

Room Tip: Unless you like out of tune sing songs late into the night, avoid anything overlooking the pool.

I was in Agadir for business rather than pleasure so I didn't make full use of the facilities e.g. the pool. Nor did many other people because despite a January air temperature of 23C there was a brisk wind off the sea.

This is a good, friendly hotel, although rather empty I thought. Colleagues in Agadir were saying that visitor numbers are generally down with the cold wind of recession reducing the number of guests from the frozen north i.e. the Eurozone etc. The lack of visitors meant that the dining room was a rather quiet, and actually a bit depressing on a January night when you're on your own and its dark outside by 6.30 pm

I used the bar for a quiet drink or two and wifi. A little modernisation wouldn't come amiss, and perhaps wall insulation between some bedrooms as well, or maybe a notice asking guests to converse more quietly at night.

The hotel was booked for me by colleagues in Agadir. they made a good choice

Room Tip: Ask to face the sea

Staff very friendly, courteous, helpful in every way. Speak perfect English. The rooms are cleaned every day and fresh towel supplied. However the rooms are in urgent need of modernisation, and it is a pity this is not done as the Argana is in an excellent location.
The food also is inly ok and never seems to change.

But it is a cheap hotel, excellent location, clean, the best hotel staff in Agadir and I love it there, cannot wait to go back in a few weeks time for 2 months.

Room Tip: cheap, clean, wonderful location, 5mins walk to beach and wonderful promanade.fantastic staff. I...

Staff were very friendly and helpful, the lobby was nice, however the hotel rooms are in urgent need of modernisation and I felt my room could have been cleaner.
The food wasn't great, but then we didn't pay much to stay here.
The location of the hotel is good, only 5-10minutes walk to the beach and there are many restaurants nearby.
I would recommend this hotel for anyone looking for a budget hotel.

Despite the Huge Losses incurred by the 4 Month Stoppage by SunWay Travel and many many Hundreds of Thousands of Euros Lost to the Local Comunity, Agadir is Still Alive, and Doing Remarkably Well.
Great Value For Money CAN BE HAD throughout the Ever Popular and Improving Resort & So long as YOU do some Easy Research You CAN ENJOY A GREAT DEAL....For So Much Less than at anytime during these past few years.
For Example: Book and Stay in A Superior Suite or A Junior Suite at the Argana and You Just Won't Believe their Value For Money.
As Ever...despite huge pressures from nearly no Irish Guests the Hotel Management and Staff Continually Strive to give A Professional, Warm and Happy Service throughout. However, its True To Say that the Selection of Foods at the Breakfast Buffet and Evening Dinning Room Sadly Remains Very Mixed.....and Despite Their Best Efforts......Worth Checking Carefully on Any Given evening.
In Conclusion: Go only for any of the Recently Refurbished Rooms, Junior Suites and The Superior Quality Suites....You'll Not Be Disappointed.....Rather You'll Be Happily Suprised?

Room Tip: Newly Refurbished Rooms, Junior Suites on the 1st Floor Behind the Reception Especially, or The Supe...

Argana hotel? What can I say? First off this hotel customer service was excellent all staff friendly and helpful, didn't use the porter service, however he always smiled and said hello.
Also the maids worked very hard, this hotel was cleaned thoroughly and a very good job done.
The food at restaurant was different on a daily basis, buffet service provided, this was as what u can expect from hotel food, so half board is enough. Breakfast got very repeptitive. Drinks at hotel are pricer then outside, water is best.
Had massages at hotel spa, bit more expensive then what is offered at excursions and by holiday rep, but they were excellent so relaxing and refreshing. Deffo recommend spa to get you relaxed and ready for holiday mood. Rooms were average bed, balcony, dresser table, cupboards, however to get a good night sleep it's fine. Overall hotel service was fantastic, staff very friendly, helpful and welcoming.
