Went as a family - son 19, daughter 25, daughter and boyfriend 28 and me (56) !!
First night my eldest daughter and boyfriend were booked into room above nightclub (apparently they put young people there at first) although we had e mailed but this was quickly sorted the next morning with a choice of 2 perfect rooms. The rooms were lovely and the most comfortable beds. Only problem with my son was the shower as he had to sit on side of bath to shower as he was too tall.
Food was amazing and no complaints at all, every night there was a different theme with waiters giving wine and water on demand.
The pool was lovely and we really enjoyed the swim up bar. The sun beds were taken very early, my son went to breakfast at 7:30 and nearly all beds were taken but if you asked there were always some available. The pool and bar staff were very quick and friendly to help you get comfortable with a little tip on our first day - especially Moussa who was very kind and a great guy that we got friendly with.
The other staff were also cheerful and we were always served with a smile and a few jokes.

Overall we had a wonderful holiday- we relaxed and had fun at the pool but also allowed to experience Moroccan culture with the likes of massage, souks and camel trekking. We want to book again for next year!

Booked this hotel through Thomas Cook as part of an all inclusive package and it turned out to be lovely!

The hotel was beautiful and very clean, and I certainly had no problems with regards to noise.

The only downsides were- We could only pick up wifi in the foyer although since the foyer is full of comfy seating and there are constantly waiters on hand asking if you'd like a drink or anything else its really not a hardship. We didn't watch the evening entertainment provided by the hotel as its not really our thing but the bits we did catch at times did seem a bit amateur but i'm not sure what people expect?

The positives- Beautiful hotel and grounds with modern clean rooms, our room had a balcony facing the sea, very nice. The relatively new seafront restaurant where you can have buffet lunch is amazing with stunning views as you eat. The staff are all helpful and polite and spoke pretty good English. Plenty of sunbeds, including those big wooden framed double things with the mattresses on which were awesome. The food here was very good for me, a different theme every night but always serving loads of different salads and Moroccan foods as well as a selection of more plain/English foods- if all you eat is pizza and chips and you don't enjoy a variety of foods then this hotel is going to be seriously wasted on you!

All in all I was initially terrified after reading some of the bad reviews on here but honestly it was a beautiful hotel with friendly staff so i'd suggest going and finding out for yourslef, we paid £600 each for 1 week all inclusive plus flights- absolute bargain!

Just returned from 2 weeks at the Tikida beach hotel and can only say how impressed we were. Rooms were spacious and clean with free air conditioning, food was excellent both in quality and choice, grounds well laid out and kept spotless, staff wonderful, service brilliant, getting a drink was easy unlike in some all inclusive hotels and the beach superb (it had its own roped off area 15 yards from hotel). Truly 4 star at least.

Room Tip: Do not have a room at the front of the hotel as they are over the top of the .night club that goes on till the early hours

electrocuted by lamp which blew all electric in room on night of arrival ,by the time it was sorted it was 03.00am so not a good start .We paid for room with balcony but this is not what we were initially given - room change given after 2nd night Dining experience spoiled by luke warm meals-lack of attention to ensuring food servers were adequately stocked to enable selection choice , very poor service and predominantly miserable staff who were slow to provide any cutlery etc but also annoyed if you tried to get your own ,drink quality poor .Breakfast service was worst of all as waiters would attempt to recycle other tables used coffee flasks and give them to you -obviously tepid Don't use olivios snack restaurant as the birds get all over the products and eat as much as the guests as trays are not protected by any covers or sliding doors .Entertainment awful but luckily only lasted 5-10 mins per night. rooms clean and spacious .pool area nice but towel attendant blatantly stating he had no towels but as you walked away he would hand towels to French guests .Reception and lounge areas have no comfortable seating which is all too low - only suitable for people under 5 foot tall. Guests need to be aware that there are steps almost everywhere which may make getting to any of the restaurants difficult if you have mobility problems or have a child in a pushchair .Nice location close to beach and nice walk along promenade although shops and restaurants are much further away than as stated in Thomson brochure. Wouldn't go to this hotel again its a 4 star hotel with 1 star service and staff who obviously expect tips before they provide a service .Main pool bar staff are the most polite and attentive of all and there are a couple of nice waiters in cascade bar who are happy to attend your needs

Room Tip: rooms at rear of hotel directly overlooking the sea are quiet but some do not have a balcony -beware of prevalent sea breeze at night .Rooms overlooking pool and gardens also good .

We are a married female couple in our thirties celebrating our first wedding anniversary. We are aware that being gay in morrocco is illegal. Do not go away with thomson first choice- first mistake. They put us in a room over two night clubs and we didn't sleep for three nights. Females are not very welcome here unless accompanied by a male and a french person. Staff are lovely if you are french and you have deep pockets. They will take bribes daily and treat you terribly if you are unwilling to put your hand in your pocket every 5 minutes.
It takes approximately 30 minutes to get coffee in the morning if you are lucky enough to get it at all - unless you are french. The hotel boasts a beach bar yet the man at the beach will only serve you if you are french or a large tipper. There is no bar there and they will not serve alcohol on the beach- unless you are french! If you complain you will be ostracised by the 19 year old staff. We were not taken seriously by the hotel at all, the manager would not speak to us when we asked as the rep was unavailable. We only went for a week and on four of those days we couldn't function properly as we were so tired.
The food was mediocre and not kept hot enough causing tummy upsets. It was also regurgitated the next day. This hotel is corrupt and unwelcoming to new, English, female guests.
In my opinion - I have a degree in tourism and leisure, don't come here. The Thomson rep was good and managed on the fourth day to upgrade us but the hotel and staff in general(there were some nice ones) were despicable. We were given too little too late as way of an apology. The manager bade no effort to see us If you like "paying" in large tips to get cold coffee or even a sunbed (in an all inclusive), then this is the place for you. I have never seen so many towels on sunbeds at 6 a.m. The gym was barely functional with the only cross trainer broken. Rooms had to be vacated at 11 a.m. despite most people leaving the hotel at 9 pm with nowhere proper to shower. This was due to over booking. The drinks were poor. I could go on!
