Fabulous hotel right on the beach. Loads of choice of food with 3 restaurants, something to suit everyone. Breakfast amazing! ....Staff so helpful and certainly the among the most attentive people I have ever met. Hotel really clean. Good entertainment. Great seating areas good wifi reception. Nice quite games room with book exchange going on to. Would go back in a heart beat. Good pools plenty of sunbeds and parasols. Serval bars to choose from. No complaints at all!!

Just spent 11 nights at the hotel. We arrived to a welcome drink, the check in was very efficient and as we were not keen on the room we were given, we had no problem changing. We had top floor in block 5 which looked right out on the beach and as we had the end room we had a little side window that looked up towards the town.

When we first arrived we were a little disappointed as we had stayed at the Riu Palmerie in Marrakesh and did not feel this hotel was on a par with it. We also had a few issues where we had asked for the mattress toppers, extra coathangers and reported the toilet seat wasn't properly fitted. We were promised on two separate days that everything would be done that day but it wasn't. In the end my friend spoke to the manager and within half an hour it was all sorted.

The food was very nice, there was something for everyone, we particularly liked the steaks they often cooked on the bbq at lunch. Desserts were all sorts of small assorted pastries and mini cakes which were absolutely delicious, they must have a really good pastry chef at the hotel.

The gardens were lovely and kept in excellent condition. All the staff seemed to work very hard and nothing seemed to be too much trouble.

Just a note for sun-worshippers - we had looked at the long range forecast and believed temperatures would be in the 30's - this was not the case - the area seems to have its own little micro-climate...some days it starts very overcast and the sun does not break through until 11 or 12.00 and other days it gets very windy about 1.30pm so as the sun starts to lose power it gets very cool. I could have done with some warmer clothes for early morning, late afternoon / evening.

We found it a bit disappointing that the band played in the smoking area of the bar and surprised to see people smoking inside the building anyway however there are designated non-smoking areas. The wifi was a bit hit and miss particularly and weekends and evenings, I used it after breakfast when it was a bit better.

As for Agagir, I really it was great. There is a little train that stops outside the hotel that takes you on a round trip into town so you can get on and off. Taxis are very cheap 20 dirhams for an 'orange taxi' which takes up to 3 people within the town (about £1.60). The souk is worth a visit - be brave - we had a great couple of hours and picked up a few bargains.

Anyone looking to buy the argan products - don't buy them from the factories they take you to on the excursions, they are much cheaper in the souk or the supermarkets I got a small pot for 25 dirhams (£2.00), they wanted 150 dirhams at the factory shop!!

In conclusion I would definitely go back to Agadir and to the hotel.

Room Tip: The 5000 rooms overlook the beach front lovely sunsets from the balconies

Me and the Mrs just back from a week AI.
Had a nice introduction to morocco although Agadir is a new city catering for the tourists.
Hotel is in a good location.
Very good food. Don't try a bit of everything every day. Have a different meal each day.
Staff work hard and it shows. Service is excellent and the place is spotless.
Don't expect wild nights in the hotel.
The house band (blues guitarist and organ player) were well over qualified but catered well for the hotel's guests. Every now and again they would drift off and play something a bit special.
We went out everyday (didn't bother with excursions), Done a lot of walking. Seems as safe as anywhere we've been.
The souk is a must and no pestering. Just be polite.
Be firm with the cabbies as they will try it on. 20 d got us anywhere we wanted.
The Jardin D'eau near the "English pub" was very nice but don't bother with the English pub.
A steak in the Jardin costs less than a large beer in the Pub.

Only down side was the chilly breeze when the wind changed direction. We normally go to Egypt this time of year but fancied a change.
The worst experience was the welcome we got from napoleon, the very slightly built Le golf master at golf soleil.
A couple of days earlier we had sent an email asking for a round for 1 and my wife driving the buggy. We also said we understood this would have to be at a quite time of the day. We also confirmed this the next day with a phone call to the course.
As soon as I arrived and opened my mouth, it was clear Le caddie master thought I'd stepped in something. He started talking jibba jabba and said we had to join a 3 ball. It was obvious a French party had turned up on the off-chance of a game.
Shame on you my little French friend. You managed spoilt my birthday present from my wife.

Room Tip: We had a very nice 1st floor room over looking the ocean but if I returned to this hotel, I would as...

The staff & the food was fantastic, the rooms and the facilities at the hotel are dated.
Indoor pool had plants growing from the air conditions, very few facilities.
We went all inclusive and the food was great and service but no hand gel at the door & lots of people don't wash there hands from the toilets.
Smoking in the bar area where children run and play is not good.
No double beds in rooms & no choice to upgrade for a double bed.

have just returned fron a very relaxing 2 weeks at the Tikida Dunas the weather was disapointing as very cloudy and over cast most mornings a couple of days very windy but it was warmer and dryer then here do take a couple of warmer things to wear if not needed it will be a bonus
they told us this year has been very unpredictable weather wise
the hotel is lovely large grounds and right on promanade yes you do get asked to buy goods but they go away when you firmly say no
we where lucky we asked for a quite room with a sea view and got 5005 it was large with its own patio great for that early morning cuppa take your own kettle tea bags where out on display but we had taken our own and mugs you just ask for milk there is a fridge in the room and water put in daily
in the afternoon the sun made the patio a lovely place to sit no sun beds on patio which is a shame as it would have really made a difference if there had been and they where big enough to have had 2 there
the walk to the bird park to catch the road train was well worth it and we saw much more by going on the train back to the hotel
we did a half day trip to Taradant saw alot and learnt much about the country from the guide left at 830am back about 130 pm the only thing we felt was the trip to see how the argain oil is extracted ended up being a hard sell of there products so be prepared and leave if you do not want to buy you then get left for a while at the art and craft part of the market but a firm no was accepted here
there is a set price shop in Agadir if you do not want to haggle but the shop in the hotel was selling some lovely goods again priced so no problems with haggling if you did not want to also 2 or 3 times a week traders come in selling jewlery nuts spices etc

the food was good lots of choice and most of it cooked in front of you staff very friendly and helpful we eat most of our meals out side and the staff where wonderful thank you

if you have any problems in the room tell the reception found maintenance slow a leak in the toilet took 5 hours before some one came and when we reported a bed spring coming out of the mattress which was a worry as it gave me a nasty scratch it was nearly 15 hours before that was sorted we told the room maid at first then went to reception in the afternoon as nothing had been done very quickly some one was out who said 10 mins but it was mid morning the next day before it was repaired
the massage at the spa was wonderful and the indoor pool and gym well used on cooler days alot of folk where going to the indoor pool and lying on the sun beds in there .

Room Tip: all rooms in block 5 over look the sea and prom you can here the sea which we liked some may not the...

Went again to the dunas with friends in October. Although still a good hotel for the money I think there has been a bit of cost cutting by senior management. Management on the floor is still great but they can only do what they can with the help they get from said senior management. We went at a very busy time and a lot of staff had been laid off which really isnt what you do when busy. The staff that were there were doing all they could to keep the place running but we even had the head chef out of the kitchen filling up dishes at the buffet because they were short of staff, not a good way to keep up the standards which we had seen before. We still had a good time and as I said before the staff there as fantastic but senior management need to be more on the ball in making sure resources are available to get this hotel back to the standards we saw before. I think they had changed some of their supp;iers as well but to get better quality you have to pay more and I am sure they will find this out. Bernardo and Jacob are very good managers and it would be a pity if they had to lessen their standards for the sake of riu profits. Riu take note!!!!! I am sure people would pay a little extra to get back the standards. Gentlemen should were long trousers at dinner not shorts as we saw the french wearing when we were there. .

Nobody said it was so windy & cold if your sun worshiper do not come in November unless you bring loads of jumpers if your traveling around think this would be more than suitable the rooms are large the floors are dirty. Could do with tea coffee facilities in room as spent a lot of time there due to weather. The food is good if not repetitive In the daytime although you cannot fault the wine selection in the day or evening The evening entertainment is well worth a look as they put on good show. This hotel seems to be set up for French in every way. Although the staff are good on every front
