Visited the riu tikida dunas 11th February to 18th February, with my daughter and granddaughter. Beautiful hotel, wonderful staff, great service from the time we arrived to the time we sadly left for home. It was my granddaughters 6th birthday the day we got there, and they went out of their way to give her a great day, balloons, birthday cake, all of the staff singing happy birthday to her when we went for dinner, and a bottle of champagne brought to the table for my daughter and I, what more could you ask for?
The room was spacious, spotlessly clean, and had everything we needed to ensure we were comfortable, one tiny criticism, and this is probably personal preference, the mattresses are shall we say, rather firm!
The food is lovely, dining rooms clean and well laid out, and the waiting staff extremely helpful and attentive. The house wine at meals is really nice, and glasses were never empty! Special mention to the lovely lady on the omelette station, she made my granddaughter cheese omelettes every morning as she loved them, and always made a fuss of her!
The staff in the children's club are amazing, they genuinely do seem to love working with the little ones, and always made sure they were safe, well entertained, and no one was left out!
Pools are lovely, plenty of sun loungers, entertainment pool side lively without being too invasive if you just wanted to relax!
Indoor pool lovely, it was a great place for my granddaughter to practise her swimming, and she even swam without her water wings for the first time there!
I highly recommend the cappuccino that was prepared at the bar next to the big pool, creamy and delicious, and bar staff quickly knew what I wanted without me having to ask!
Management genuinely are concerned that guests have a great stay, the manager and deputy manager were even present at our welcome meeting, and actively encouraged us to tell them of any concerns, no matter how small, so they could put it right!
Reception staff lovely, and very efficient!
All in all, we had a great time, and would not hesitate to recommend this hotel!
Apologies if I have left anyone out, you were all marvellous, many thanks, Shirley, Lauren and Lissy xxxxxxxxxxxxx

Spent 2 weeks in February. Enjoyed everything about the hotel. We were in block 5 overlooking the sea. The animation team were very good indeed and the evening entertainment was above average. Plenty of sun beds.

We visited this hotel for 1 week back in October 2015. We thought it was a a very nice hotel that has undergone a high standard refurbishment. A very good beach outside and the all inclusive was pretty good in comparison with some of the other places we have visited.

We had a refurbished room which was very good. Wifi was not great at all. Staff were good, and very well located in terms of distance from the airport.

Just watch out for some of the tour operators offering tours that are not all that great. In my opinion, we went on a few and felt like it was time wasted and time was better spend on the beach and enjoying the hotel.

We recommend the SPA massage scrub treatments, it is expensive but was very good in a nice environment.

Two of our group had stomach a bug stomach bug throughout but doubt that this is anything to do with the hotel directly perhaps more so a travel bug type of thing.

Where to start :).... as a highlight I just came back from a week at this hotel and absolutely loved it! I would definitely recommend it. I have never written a review before but am compelled to write one for the outstanding experience we had at this hotel...

Staff and Entertainment team - Every single member of the team from the kitchen staff, cleaners, management team and entertainment team were friendly and introduced themselves to us. At each meal time the management team were visible and checked in to make sure we were having a comfortable stay and did not need any assistance... never experienced that before! Specific mention of Eduardo who was accommodating with our requests before we travelled and during our stay, the hotel manager and Mohammed on the pasta counter at night :)

Entertainment - Went to see three of the evening shows which were amazing and you could tell the entertainment team went to the extra effort of making it enjoyable and entertaining.

Food - The food choice was very good overall, and as I am a vegetarian the management and chefs went out of there way to prepare us dishes that would be suitable for us, ensuring that we were always really full at the end of the meal. Only improvement would be to have a "V" symbol against the signs so its easy to see which dishes are vegetarian

Rooms - Really large rooms, we were lucky to have a ground floor room right near the pool area so really easy to walk around and get to all the facilities. Kept really clean and a really nice walk in shower.

Pool and Beach - only downside is that there isn't an outdoor heated pool so it was quite cold in February, but the indoor pool and the beach make up for it. The lack of an outdoor heated pool limited the entertainment team from running activities such as water polo, which is a shame. The beach is really clean, lovely smooth sand, and a really nice promenade to go for walks. Try a surfing lesson with Mohammed :)

Overall, really recommend this hotel and cant wait to go back :)

Room tip: Ask for a sea view room, well worth it... you can see the pool and sea.... rather than the road
