This is a nice small hotel. It is quiet, clean and the staff are friendly.

One big disappointment however, they would not let me and my fiancee stay in a room together. Apparently because he was from Agadir they would not let him stay in the hotel. I attempted to get him a separate room but they would have none of that either. I was surprised because in July I stayed in another hotel in Agadir and had no problem with this. This definitely put a damper on my stay at the Timoulay.

A warning to travelers coming to visit a boyfriend or girlfriend from Agadir and hoping to stay together during your visit:get an apartment it will save you a lot of heartache.

The room was spacious, clean, with a nice view from the balcony. Staff were extremely friendly, always greeting you with a smile and a hello. It was quiet and peaceful at night.

I took advantage of the breakfast buffet. It was very nice the way it was set up, breads, meats fruits and cheeses all neatly arranged. Though the buffet became quite repetitive after a week. They served the same things every day.

It is true, there are about two cats that come into the restaurant through the open door to the pool. They are in no way intrusive however. In fact, I fed one of them as I ate my breakfast. He kept me company as my fiancee wasn't allowed to stay in the hotel to enjoy breakfast with me every morning. : (

The bottom line is this: The Hotel Timoulay is a very nice hotel to stay in if you are married, or are a single couple traveling to Morocco from another country.

I stayed at the hotel Tomoulay over new year with three friends. The hotel staff couldn't be more helpful but also aren't overbearing. Its a small hotel compared to the others in Agadir and therefore has a friendly feel to it. New year involved a seven course dinner with different entertainment between each course - it was amazing!!

We spent a wonderful and relaxing week in Hotel Timoulay. From our arrival, where we were warmly greeted by Omar, to our departure, everything about this hotel was first class. The staff are very polite and helpful. Lena in the boutique is warm and inspiring and a great asset to the hotel, so remember to call in and see her! Our breakfast chef was Bouhnisse, who was as good as any tour guide and also a very good cook - we looked forward to breakfast every morning. Our bedroom was thouroughly cleaned every day and the pool area was spotless, with staff constantly cleaning. Dinner in the evening was buffet style and as good as any buffet can be, plenty of variety and the homemade soup was especially delicious. The restaurant staff were always friendly and polite and very attentive to the needs of all guests. Thank you to everyone for a great holiday.

The Timoulay is a small jewel whose rather drab location is its only negative. It's not the owner's fault that Agadir itself is so uninteresting. This 50-room modern and very well designed boutique hotel is the must-stay if you're stuck in Agadir. Discreetly and very well managed, with a superb head chef and spacious comfortable rooms, mostly overlooking the (heated) pool. Very clean, very well maintained. We stayed for a week half board on a fantastic discounted Thomsons package. It was quiet and exactly what we hoped for. Highly recommended.

Agadir had an earthquake some years back, so much of the tourist area is made up of all inclusive hotels. We just wanted a comfortable overnighter and this served the purpose brilliantly. The front of house was brilliant. We arrived late and tired and they managed a very acceptable meal in our rooms. The breakfast was excellent and the heated pool a real treat. If you come in your own car it's difficult to find. Mainly because they don't go in for signs in Morocco. The airport is just as hard to locate! But everyone knows where it is. Rooms were very comfortable.

I travelled with three friends to Agadir for a bit of sun over New Year. I have spent time like most people in very bad, ok and good hotels. This is without a doubt the best I have ever stayed in by a long long way. From the second we walked in we were made to feel welcome and that service was a key priority. The standard room was spacious with a big balcony and a wet room.
We went half board and fully expected to get bored with the food but that never happened. The restaurant Maitre d' was professional and went out of his way to ensure our friend had whatever vegetarian option she wanted. The food was outstanding (different salads and soups each night, fresh selected meat and fish on the barbecue, and an eight course banquet for New Year!). The waiters at the bar and restaurant really wont let you lift a finger.
The outstanding part of the holiday was New Year. A cocktail reception with acrobats and then each course was followed by the the most amazing entertainment (no cheesy stuff here!). An amazing resident singer who in total sang for over 8 hours in 5 different languages. Our bedrooms all re-cleaned and chocolates put on our pillows. The hotel managed to get everyone including the kids to have a wonderful fun New Year without making people feel forced into it. I would strongly reccomend this hotel if you like the personal touch and amazing service.

We stayed here for a couple of nights in December and found the hotel to live up to its previous reviews. The staff couldn’t be more friendly or helpful, the breakfast was varied and plentiful and the hotel was exceptionally clean throughout.

As my partner and I love walking we enjoyed making the trip into town each day, especially as the weather was too cool for sitting on the beach, but I would warn other travellers that the main town and marina are a good 20-30 minute stroll away, so those with young children or very high heels (!) may want to bear this in mind. However, there were always 'petit' taxis outside the hotel waiting to take you into town for less than £2.50.

The only issue I had with the hotel was that our double bed was in fact two single beds pushed together, and as they were on wheels they moved apart quite easily so we effectively had to sleep separately; not quite the romantic break we planned! But as we were only there for three nights it was only a minor flaw in what was an enjoyable stay in Agidir.
