I travelled with my two children (16 and 9) and a friend and her two children for quality time and sunshine. This is what we got.

Yes, the rooms are basic but clean. The food was good with something for everyone. It was nice to try something different too so we tried all al a carte restaurants.

If you tip (and it doesn't have to be much) there will be a sunbed at any time of the day and an outside table at breakfast. The waiter also brought us coffee and whatever we wanted from the buffet.

The beach was lovely and the sunset worth watching. We were fortunate to be there for the end of Ramadan and the promenade was full of local families enjoying the bank holiday. To see people in traditional dress was lovely.

We didn't see the entertainment as we were happy playing cards and talking with our children. It could be a little chilly in the evening so take a cardigan.

For £1300 (for three people) for a week in the summer holidays we could not have expected more. This was summed up by someone when we were there when they said 'people expect something they haven't paid for'.

I think it is also worth remembering that this is a country where donkeys travel on the road alongside cars and very deprived in areas. Therefore, it may be a little different to what one may be used to.

French is widely spoken but we can all say please and thank you in French and this goes a long way.

So, although there are some areas for improvement we had a great time.

We have just arrived home after a 11 day visit me my husband and 3 children.
To start with we had a nice room on top floor was ok for us but would be hard it u had a small baby in pram rooms are basic but are clean and tidy only issue in room was smell from toilets which I found a lot of people had ,the main pool is nice but u have to be up at daft o'clock for Sunday the pool man is amazing and if u give him a small tip he will look after you , the pool bar is always busy and can be hard to get a drink.
The restaurant is nice food good but you will queue for everything English are a minority in this hotel there are a lot of French you will find all the kids club are full of foreign children my children didn't go once because of not been able to speak to other children and animation time speak mainly French .
The entertainer is ok the show are ok the kids enjoyed them from 11 till 12 it's really noisy with the same music played every night which drove me mad the one massive disappointment that can't be helped was the weather 7 out if our 11 days was cold I would recommend taking warm clothes for night over all the hotel was ok it just need a lot of tlc the toilets are the main concern ones round main pool very dirty and broken tiles we had a fab holiday but won't be returning but that is due to the weather be a let down

Just got back after spending a week here. First of all remember this is a three star hotel. It's a pretty big hotel with lots if stairs, so if you have mobility problems make sure you say so when booking for a ground floor room, saying that we managed to negotiate them all with a pushchair. Rooms are average - basic, clean and comfortable they were cleaned each day by friendly polite staff. The hotel has several pools, each sunbed had a towel on it by 8am but fortunately there is a sign that says towels left on longer than 2hrs with no sign of the owner would be removed by the pool staff and to be fair they did just that - we tipped the pool guy and he always managed to find us sunbeds. Food in the main oasis restaurant is what you would find in your average canteen, but still edible - remember what I said about it being a three star. There is a snack bar that does burgers, hotdogs etc - worth a visit. We found that if you top the waiters they look after you. There are also several themed restaurants - Moroccan, Chinese, steak, pizza and fish, you have to pay in these but well worth it. We went on two trips (thomsons organised) - agadir experience and camel trekking, both very good although if you go on camel trekking ensure you spray yourself with mosquito repellant as they go past a river and we all got bitten several times! The hotel has its own private beach which is roped off - good as there are lots if beach sellers who are not allowed inside the marked area - otherwise you'll have them pester you every 2 minutes! We walked along the seafront during both day and night - much busier during the night but still safe to walk about.
Would I go again - No - but that's only because I never go to the same place again.
Would I recommend - Yes.

We are a family of five - one 19 year old and twins of 12.
We decided to make the most of our holiday after reading mixed reviews. Ignore the bad reviews.
Hotel - beautiful throughout and very ethnic. Always clean, in fact we were mesmerised at how hard the cleaning staff worked each day. The rooms had everything you needed and the shower was always hot.
Food - Buffet was good - we always found something to eat. The kids miss having pancakes for breakfast and the omelettes were amazing. The Moroccan restaurant was lovely for a fixed menu. If you go into the same bit of the restaurant each time a waiter adopts you and sets up your table with bread and drinks every day. A little tip from time to time goes a long way.
Beach - excellent private beach which did not allow the trades people on. You could order your sandwiches in the morning and they were delivered at lunch time. Basic, but we didn't eat much for lunch anyway. Free drinks from the bar where they really looked after you.
Staff - All the staff were excellent. The bar staff remember what you drink every time and if you tip them even 20Dh you get even better service. They even taught us some Arabic. The cleaner was lovely even though her English was not good. She came to say goodbye as we left. The Animation team were great. No pressure to join in the activities but much more fun if you do. Even the lifeguards ended up friends with us. A very happy bunch of people with the attitude "Enjoy life".
Trips - We went to Marrakesh for the day - so different from Agadir. An experience.
Other guests - If you want to be with lots of English people, not the place for you. Mostly Eastern European, French and Belgian which we think makes for a more interesting holiday.
Entertainment - dancing every day and night around the pool. We got very fit very quickly. The shows were good, although the sketch shows (only about two of them) got lost in translation. The Miss/Mr Agador and dancing competitions were hilarious. The nice thing about the evenings was that no-one got uncontrollably drunk, kids were included all the time and the music stopped at midnight. Very considerate towards the hotel guests.

After watching all the other guests for two weeks my advice would be to smile at all the staff and say hello. You get much better service for it, even without tipping. They all work 12-13 hour shifts, six days a week and never stop. All for less than £200 per month. Appreciate them and they will be friends for life. My eldest daughter cried all the last day, which we found very funny, because she didn't want to leave.
Take their philosophy on board and 'enjoy lif'e. We intend to go back at Easter and can't wait.

We stayed here for 2 weeks in July its a lovely hotel very big and with all the amenities its ideal for families or couples!! not for older people as there are a lot of steps around the hotel !!! the animation team at the hotel are the best I've seen in any hotel I've ever been there brilliant with both the adults and the children they have activities all day and entertainment every night there is something different on! The rooms are ok cleaned everyday! we did have to be moved due to my friend falling and hurting her leg to a ground floor room which was closer to the pool and really modern it was lovely nicer then the other room the reception staff could not do enough to help us they moved us by the afternoon fantastic service.
There are 4 pools here but you do need to get there early in peak season as there are more people than beds!! The food in the hotel is nice breakfast was always good and you have a variety all other meals as well as the themed restaurants if you fancy a change.
The weather is a bit hit or miss as well overcast till lunch boiling then in the afternoon and chilly at night so take a wrap.
This hotel is not and Agadir in general is not for groups of Youngsters as there is nothing much to do once the bar shuts in the hotel unless you go down to the marina or go to the Hotel club which was only open 1 night whilst we were there due to ramadan which was disappointing!! We did venture out to the hotel across the the road called the beach club which did have a club and was open till 4am it was ok but nothing special!!
Over all we had a lovely holiday and would recommend this hotel as it has lovely little shops and other stalls all around the complex but you do have to haggle they can be quite pushy and rude if you don't buy so be aware.

Room Tip: Ask for one close to the big pool as they have been recently renovated and are a lot nicer than the...

Just back from this delightful hotel. First arrival I was unsure of the type of hotel we had gone to, as the reception area and bar are a bit dated. On being shown to our room, the garden area changed my opinion of it straightaway. All the rooms are located in Riads dotted around the complex, and although quite basic we're well presented, and exceptionally clean. The dining room was a little on the large informal side, but served its purpose. Food was your standard all inclusive fare. The only let down being not much choice of mains. Chicken or fish, which was very nice, but a wider choice would have been preferred. 5 a la carte restaurants, Japanese, Fish, Moroccan, Italian and Steakhouse helped to compensate. The Moroccan being the best one. The pool area was surrounded by sunbeds, but you had to be up at the crack of Dawn to reserve one, despite a sign telling you not to, before 9am. The pool ar could be busy at times, but the staff were very friendly, and even remembered your drinks.
Outside the hotel, there are a few shops, and a nice little restaurant that seats only 15. The prices are very good and for a 3 course meal, for four, with a beer a piece, and 3 bottles of wine cost us £110 for the four of us. The animation team are very good, and always on the go. Very friendly, and eager to mix nationalities. Would I return here, yes, I would, but want to see other places, and hotels within Agadir.

Room Tip: WiFi is hit and miss, and best place to obtain a fairly decent signal is in reception.
