The room is quite small, the "carpet" is plastic and awful to walk on, but perhaps practical. I think low maintenance. The bathroom is nice, bed is confortable, and you are very close to many things like train station, shopping and reasonable resturants. Don't miss the nearby La Squala. The hotel restaurant is scary, has anyone ever before heard of Italian Wok ? or Moroccan Wok ? That is just disturbing.
Many rooms smell of smoke, even if you ask for non-smoking, and there is a lot of construction going on across the street.
But believe it or not, it is still one of my preferred hotels, if i make a short stay in Casablanca. One thing i strongly recommend, the nearby Patisserie called Papillon, their Moroccan cakes/cookies are just to die for. I always bring home a couple of kilos.

Room Tip: Get as high as possible

Not a very nice place. Tiny rooms, smoky downstairs. Loud outside. Close to train station.

The best thing about our stay here was that it was only one night. Shower was decent but you could practically see through the towels; threadbare is an understatement. The rug felt like plastic outdoor carpet and was unpleasant to step on. Even worse was the surliness of the staff, they barely made eye contact and answered in monosyllables. Inexpensive but not worth the price.

We stayed here for one night in March 2012 in order to visit friends and see the Grand Mosque. We have stayed at other Ibis Hotels in Morocco and this one was just as good as the others. The reception desk was extremely helpful with check-in and also when we were seeking information about tourist sites.

The room was small and basic but very clean and well kept. Everything in the bathroom worked well and there was good, hot water with adequate water pressure. The bed was quite comfortable and the room layout is well thought out with a small desk and bench along with small closet and storage area.

We had lunch and breakfast in the Hotel dining facility and both we good. The buffet breakfast has a good mix of European and Moroccan foods and we found the wait staff very helpful - especially considering we have an 11 month old child who we were also feeding. For example, there were no bananas out in the fruit basket but as soon as I asked for a banana one of the staff members immediately went and got some bananas for us.

I have read some of the other reviews of this hotel and I am surprised by them; this is a nice hotel in a prime location in the largest city in Morocco and the rooms regularly cost less than $100 US. For that price I think this hotel is a good choice and we will stay here again when we travel through Casa.

A friend and I stayed here for one night because we were flying out of Casablanca the next day. The only positive thing about the room was that the shower pressure was good and the temperature remained constant. However, there were no hand towels and the bath towels were threadbare and grey. The room was small, which was okay, but the beds had only a bottom sheet and a comforter - since the a/c was not working and the room was warm, a top sheet would have been nice. Worst of all, the staff was surly and unhelpful.

The room was fine if small. It was clean and everything worked well. However, the mattress was very firm and resulted in me having a bad back for several weeks after. Have never stayed at an Ibis before and would not do so again, which is a shame because, the bed apart, it was a prefectly good, functional, hotel. Reception, though, was distinctly unhelpful. The restaurant was OK-ish.
