The location of the Hotel is central and you can reach the medina and the grande mosque in less than half an hour.
Food is everywhere and cafes und Bars are around any corner.
Staff is very friendly and not annoying or tryingto sell anything. Nie change öffentlich pace.
Rooms were clean with all you need except a hair dryer.
We didn't Test the breakfast but there is one.

I would Not recommend to visit casablanca but if you do, Hotel amoud is a good place to stay!

I recently spent four days (and nights) in this hotel. It was not a very happy experience.
The first challenge was at reception: a particularly surly individual at reception was really quite rude, and unhelpful (he was still there, four days later, wearing the same clothes, and just as rude and surly). Then there was the room - on the fourth floor, right opposite the lift - and of rather irregular and small proportions. But it was clean. Nightime was hell: street noise, throughout the night, and the noise of the elevator - no matter what floor it was on you heard every movement, every opening and closing of the doors, etc. Then there was the opening and closing of the bedroom doors - enough to keep you awake most of the night.
Dawn came upon us - and there was the calling of the muerzin: not a problem, as one was preparing in one's mind to go back to a full sleep after that calling was quieted down. Uh, uh, that was not going to happen: other guests started to use their bathrooms, getting ready for the day. Every tap that was turned on, every shower that was taken, etc. could be heard. Absolutely no chance for further sleep. And then people put their shoes on and moved chairs, etc. Just more noise. Then they departed their rooms and called the lift to go downstairs to check out, etc. Just more noise, and more noise and distraction.
I (foolishly) thought I might catch up on some sleep by having a short nap in the afternoon: that also was a mistake on my part. A diligent housemade was determined to move every piece of furniture in every room, above me. below me, and beside me, and then squeegee the tile floors - the intrusion, the noise, was horrendous. By the end of the four days I felt like I was a sleep-deprived zombie.
The bathroom was quite small - you may even say "compact" - you virtually had to straddle the bidet in order to stand in front of the mirror to shave........ There was one bath towel, and one sort of bath mat. No face flannel. One small soap, and one sachet of shampoo/body gel.
What concerns me about this experience (for me) is: has the owner/developer of this recently-completed hotel ever stayed in it, overnight. Has he/she endured the unhappy service and noise, etc. They should be forced to spend a week in the place, and then required to come up with a plan to make the place comfortable and customer friendly.
Then they might get some more business.
Not recommended - at any price.

I did stay in for one breakfast - nothing to write home about!: a thoroughly rude young man quizzed one as to what sort of tea/coffeee you wanted; then he wandered away and cam eback with a tray with the breakfast. Not worth Dh40. You could go to a smart cafe on the Boulevard de Paris and have a complete Petit Dejeuner for Dh18 - and the sdervice will be cheerful

Room Tip: Corner rooms - opposite the lift - are to be avoided

Stayed here for 3 nights before beginning an intrepid trip and were impressed with the hotel. It was simple but very clean, air conditioned, quiet and had a great breakfast (not included) with lovely fresh croissants, bread, coffee, yoghurt, boiled eggs, cheese and jam.
It was good value for money, would stay here again. A great place for a couple of days!

I stayed at this hotel for a night before heading out to Rabat. I was not disappointed.

True, it is not in the newer and flashier part of town, but that is part of what makes it interesting. The hotel is close to the heart of the city and to the average person. Sure, you will have noise and you will have dirty streets, but this is the main CITY of a second-world country...hardly surprising!! Casablanca is not a highlight of a trip to Morocco...but while there, it's good to take a moment to experience it a little, because it IS an integral part of the country.

The hotel itself was perfectly fine, especially for its relatively low price. The rooms were very clean; not fancy, but better than I even expected. The beds were very comfortable, and the bathrooms were impeccable.

The people at the front desk were also nice; not sure why others would think otherwise. I found them to be very kind and respectful, as is often the case in Morocco.

If you have at least a few hours in Casa, be sure to go and visit the main mosque right next to the sea. It's magnificent in its grandeur and in a lovely location. One of my most beautiful memories in Morocco is of chilling out on the sea walls next to mosque, just chatting with and watching the young kids diving repeatedly into the sea! :)

Overall, I found this hotel was comfortable and with its own special charm. I recommend it as a good intro to Morocco upon arrival...you will coast the rest of the time! On the way back, I booked with the IBIS in the newer part, for practical reasons. I was pleased with both places.

We arrived in Casablanca on a Saturday night and took a taxi from the airport to this hotel, which I booked in large part due to decent reviews on-line. Had I know what we were heading into on a Saturday night, I'd have booked on the outskirts of the city instead. It took us about an hour to drive through the pedestrian and car-filled streets, once we hit the center of the city. I think it was mainly due to the foreseen congestion by the taxi driver that he charged us much more than we'd expected to be charged (based on previous research). We were only planning to stay one night as it was the disembarcation point for a two-week custom tour of Morocco. Wish we'd booked somewhere else. The room was cramped, the view was of the dirty streets, and it wasn't particularly clean. On the positive side, the staff was courteous and attentive, and the breakfast served in the morning was quite pleasant. All in all, a decent place, but one that I'd not book again for the reasons above.

Room Tip: Stay away from rooms on the street side if you can.

VERY average hotel in an area away from the centre of town . On arrival reception staff were curt and not helpful at all. Seemed very disinterested in us,and answered no to even basic requests. The room had a small balcony , beds and nothing else. Bathroom was ok.
Would not recommend to stay there

An average place to stay and has a typical hotel feel about it. Generally the staff were unenthusiastic. Beware of the rooms which face the back of the hotel as you will get a lot of noise from the night-club till the early hours of the morning. It was clean however and in a convenient location.
