While there isn't anything particularly wrong with this place, and I did book it at the last minute, it was nice to have a destination in mind when leaving the airport at midnight.
Centrally located and convenient to anywhere you'd like to walk or take a cab to, the hotel is sparse, open, dark and relatively quiet. There is a mosque at the end of the street, so on Fridays, no traffic can pass down rue du wahda, the men worship out into the streets and it's quite a sight.
Breakfast on the terrace is okay, the coffee is alright and crepes are great. There isn't a lot of English spoken around the house staff, but the owner of the hotel speaks English very well, despite his protests that he doesn't. There is wifi, but only in the lobby, which is irritating but seems to be the norm for Morocco.
It's catered more to the business traveller, it's not a riad, but it does the job. It's relatively cheap, not at all what I was expecting but I'd stay here again if I was in Casablanca. Probably only for a night though.
