“Food ok but beautiful interior !”
Reviewed 5 April 2012

We go lost inside the medina but found dar saada just in time for lunch . The food was ok and not that expensive ..around $10 a set . But it was all worth it just to explore the interior. The architecture and there's more things on the first floor as well. There's nothing like it in Malaysia and even if there is it will cost a lot more to eat in such a restaurant with that interior.

“Tourist trap”
Reviewed 4 February 2011

We went to this restaurant after reading about it in the Cardogan Guide as the best restaurant in Town. It was a mistake, or rather, a trap. The restaurant is located in the Medina in a nice old building, but the kitchen is dirty. My wife went to the kitchen by mistake and saw glasses, platters, trays and rest of fruits thrown on the floor, the kitchen was dirty with no attention to food safety.

“delicious food in an architectural gem”
Reviewed 7 August 2009

Dar Saada, in the middle of the medina, is looked after as a precious jewel by Saad Ben Amour, Lauareat of the Hotel school of Gliou in Switserland. You are welcomed as a guest in the traditional way, handwashing at the table, rose leaves.... The food, refined and big portions is served in a renovated palace. The collection of Saad Ben Amours father, the founder of the restaurant, gives the place a real distinction. This surrounding and the exceptional tasty food are a must while visting Fes. Mains from 100Dh, set menus 150Dh. As starter we ordered a maroccan salad but surprisingly in this restaurant it consists of 12 small plates, each vegetable cooked and dressed in a delicous way. This starter was already a full meal! The tajine of lamb and prunes was also very tasty, a big piece of meat. Dessert: orange slices with cinamon. We were the only guests at night but the crew was very attentive.
