We were thrilled to be greeted by Ghizlane when we arrived late one night by train from Marrakech. She was kind and welcoming and friendly when we must have looked like the most disheveled of travelers.
Despite our late arrival, we were welcomed to enjoy a delicious dinner in the restaurant--lovely and delicate lentil soup, flavorful chicken and beef tajine, and an orange creme tart were delicious and satisfying. The quality of ingredients was top-notch, and the attention to detail in both the preparation and the service was ever evident. Breakfast was absolutely delicious (and included in the room rate): coffee and mint tea, freshly squeezed orange juice, a perfect fresh fruit mix (sweet strawberries, pineapple, etc.), Moroccan pancakes with butter and honey, freshly made yogurt and golden raisins, warm bread, and an assortment of accompaniments such as fresh cheese, fruit spreads, olives . . . . And then we offered eggs!
The property and our room in particular were gorgeous. We especially enjoyed the comfortable bed, luxurious linens, and wonderful shower. The property's inner courtyard is amazing, with magnificent mosaics, columns, lemon trees, a fountain. Photos cannot capture the beauty and peace.
We could not have been happier with our decision to stay at the Palais Amani!
