The riad is lovely and the staff are very welcoming. On arival they serve mint tea and really settle you in. It was our first stop in Morroco and so this introduction was greatly appreciated. The bathroom and bed was great really comfortable. We took the tour into the desert which is great, but a word of warning do not expect the same level of comfort from the moment you lead the riad. The sister hotel in the desert is in poor condition, no far or air condition so room is very hot and the shower does not work well, so the swimming pool is a welcome relief. However don't let this put you off the trip is well worth it, you really do see a lot of Morocco and I really felt like I had seen the country by the end of the trip (long drive times)

Lovely staff members, team of Dar-El-Yasmine, take good care of travellers and they are very kind, hospitable and generous. They can speak several languages and always make you feel welcome, and arrange good tourist guides. They come to the hotel to start your Moroccan journey from there, and can schedule regular meeting point. They also arrange fantastic packages to the Sahara Desert, an amazing experience, not to miss out on. The location is great everything on your doorstep, with great bazaar and food. I will definitely be coming back to your Riad sometime in the near future; it’s the best Riad in Fes.

Dar El Yasmine is in a GREAT location, right in the center of the medina but on a quieter street so it's not too noisy at night. The gentlemen who run the place are very friendly, helpful, nice, and speak English which is a plus! Hospitality is great, they offer you mint tea every time you step in the place. They help you organize day trips or trips to the desert, and you can also arrange an airport pick-up with them for 150 dirhams. A bit pricey but we thought it was worth it, as we got off the plane and were completely clueless.

On the downside, the place is kind of old and the rooms are ok but the bathroom was really disappointing. The sink was leaky, the toilet seat was broken, and the shower had no curtain or anything so that our bathroom was always flooded with water and became really humid and musty. They don't change the towels either, although we just didn't bother to ask because we were about to depart.

Overall, they charge you comparable prices to European hotels but the quality of the facilities is sub-par.

This riad is really lovely: perfect place in the old Medina (but in a very quiet street). The owner is very friendly and organises everything perfect.

It feels like "home" if you are staying here. It is only 15 minutes by taxi from Fez airport (the owner organises a good transfer for you).

Breakfast was amazing!!!

There are 2 hammam's in the direct area and Fez is a very cultural city with a lovely big garden.

EVERYWHERE around the kitchen and downstairs rooms. I was woken up at 6am by one crawling up my thigh. They were everywhere and unfazed by humans.

Although this pales into comparison to having a cockroach on your bare leg, the room was dirty, the blanket came in strips and the bathroom was expose to the entire room.

Dar el Yasmine is a cosy little riad tucked away in a quiet yet convenient corner in Fes. Most importantly, the hosts of the riad were amongst the most welcoming people I've met in my week long stay in Morocco. The rooms were comfortable, and well worth what you pay for. The hospitality of Mhamed with his unlimited mint tea and amazing breakfast spread has demonstrated the beauty in the hearts of the Moroccan people. A must-stay, especially for students!

'Big' and 'small' Muhammed make you really feel at home in this fantastically located ryad. Especially young travellers will enjoy the atmosphere here.

The ryad is a little old and some aprts may be a bit scruffy but the staff will do everything to help you out. Rooms are large and comfy. Breakfast is great and will fill you up for most of the day.

When we left they were re-doing the roof terrace which should become even better to kick back and relax after a whole day in the grand medina.

Be aware thatthe medina is big and quite difficult to navigate. Dar el Yasmine is perfectly located in a quiet alley between the two main streets but we reccomend to arrange a pick-up. We arranged a taxi pick-up from the airport which turned out great.

Ofcourse with some more maintenance and care this place could be a absolute star but what's the point. Right now it's a great place to stay for a small backpackers wallet.

Room Tip: Take the upper rooms. They are more airy and bright and less noisy
