There's only so many times during your visit to Morocco that you want to eat local food as eating tagine every day like many of them do gets boring but the tagines cooked here are exceptional...I have eaten them many times before but never as good as the chicken, lemon and olive one cooked here. The meat was so soft it flaked from the bone and the vegetables and sauce were mouthwatering good. The starters which were several different types of dips were also great flavours. Sweet course was a lovely thick chocolate mousse the first time and a fruit crumble the second. We finished everything on the table it was all so good. We ate here twice, the second tagine was lamb, also very tasty. If you want to eat here you need to reserve in advance. Let them know at least before 12 midday on the day you wish to eat as their tables might already be booked by staying guests of the riad and they also source their ingredients fresh every day depending on how many people are booked to eat there. Dinner is usually served from 8pm. It's a stunning courtyard to eat a meal in too, with beautiful carved and tile decorated pillars up to the second gallery landings, gorgeous tiled floors, a soaring ceiling height, palms and hanging vines...stunning and the best we saw in Morocco, They have patio heaters for the cooler months like January. The staff are attentive, kind and friendly...and very helpful with any requirements you may have. They serve alcohol. We also stayed here for 7 days in one of the suite rooms, it was a great experience.
