“A wonderful Riad with an excellent location”
Reviewed 24 July 2013

A wonderful Riad with an excellent location. Everyone, from the owner (Reibal) to the Riad’s employees went out of their way to make sure we were being looked after and were enjoying our stay. It is in a perfect location in the medina on the edge, close to ATM machines and taxis.
We thought the room we had was large tastefully decorated and airy with a huge bathroom but after few days Reibal was kind to upgrade us to an even larger room! The courtyard is stunning and the rooftop terrace was an excellent place to start the day with a enormous breakfast and finish the evening with a glass of wine while overlooking the medina.
What really make this place so special are the owner and the staff. Reibal the perfect host always asked how our day had been and would give us tips and advice for the next day he also had many historical and humorous stories about Fes
Everyone went above and beyond to make you feel very well looked after. Just don’t make the same mistake we made which was to eat dinner there on the last night. It was excellent and wished we had dinner there more often.

My friends and I have been travelling all over Morocco and this was our favorite hotel. The staff is friendly and are bilingual. The owner makes you feel completely at home and helps you see the best attractions of the city. He's a great non-invasive host. The rooms are clean, luxurious and perfect for a deep sleep. My favorite part of this hotel is its exquisite cuisine. Do not leave without having a pastilla... A melt in your mouth dessert. The medina is a few steps away and a guide helps you wind through the market. I will be returning hopefully sooner than later, possibly move in if they let me :)

Unfortunately my friend and I were not staying at this Riad but we did enjoy a couple of nights there dining! The food was very good especially the filo starters and very reasonably priced. However what made our nights there was talking to Reibal the owner, he was very knowledgeable, very helpful and very funny! I would highly recommended this Riad they really put themselves out to make your stay in Fes comfortable and enjoyable and next time I return this is where I will be staying definitely !

We travelled from near Kingston in Surrey to an oasis of calm and friendliness in busy Fez. Nothing too much trouble for the young staff and wonderful owner, Reibal who was extremely helpful, even when I injured my back - directed us to local pharmacy with advice about medication and they even offered to bring my meals to my room.
Spotless, secure and stylish bedroom, and slept very well in comfortable big bed. Loved the colours flooding into the room upon waking (from stained glass windows). Fresh fruit in room daily.
Great food and nice little friendly bar. Reibal entertaining and attentive, with lots of good advice about exploring Fez and information about Moroccan culture. Everything wonderful basically!

Great Location, Great Staff, Dealing with the owner/manager directly through email he arranged everything. Our evening train from Casa to Fes was 2+ hours late but the driver waited for us till past 1am. The room was ready on the late arrival. Breakfast is when ever you wake up even 11am-12. Everyone working there is very helpful and polite. If you're in Fes pay the extra $$. You wont regret it!

When you make a booking from the other side of the world you are never quite sure what you will get.

But Riad Andalib is an absolute winner. It's conveniently located at R'Cif on the edge of the medina, in close proximity to the taxi rank, banks, restaurants and take-away shops. The riad has been beautifully restored with striking public areas, large guest rooms, comfortable beds and spacious bathrooms. The view from the rooftop over the medina and the square gives a little insight into local life. There's a wonderful breakfast of juice, coffee, pancakes, eggs and fruit salad.

Top marks go to the owner Reibal and his staff, who were invariably pleasant and helpful and showed great patience with our lack of either French or Arabic language skills!
