I stayed here in the end of may with my girlfriend and we both loved the experience. As it has already been mentioned, christian and driss are amazing and not to forgot everyone else working there like the cleaners who were all very kind to me. The breakfast was great and we had a great view while we ate it from the terrace. I got sick while eating in the new town and everyone at the riad made a point to check on me and driss cooked me up rice when i couldnt eat anything. The mint tea is amazing! Thanks again for everything and for making our experience in fes even more enjoyable and relaxin. so clean and comfortable.

Christian is the owner of this guesthouse, who makes it his business to personally greet you, chat over a mint tea, and find you the next morning at breakfast to see how you are. he and Driss will help organise day trips from Fes, or guided tours within it. expect the royal treatment, with a sumptuous homemade spread served to you each morning, and friendly faces ready to chat with you in French or English about the city and help you out any way they can. The rooms are large and the beds very comfortable. bathrooms are en suite and the top rooms have closest access to the roof terraces (there are three). be sure to call the guesthouse before you arrive so they can arrange to meet you, as you will never find the place on your own and it might be very intimidating to try. if booking off certain sites, note that you will pay in cash at the end of your stay (in Dirhams or Euro) and certain additions could be made to your bill such as tourist tax and services.

Room tip: the top of the house offers rooftop access

My wife and I cannot recommend this hotel enough.
We go on holiday every 6 weeks [perk of being a teacher] and this is one of our very favourite hotels that we've been to.
The hotel is lovely and Christian and Driss are incredibly friendly and helpful without being overbearing. The service really was outstanding.
It's situated in the medina and so doesn't look much from the outside [as all riads do] but once you get inside it really is done out fantastically.
And the breakfast was great too, with lots of lovely pastries and different jams.
Also, it's location is excellent because it's on one of the 'main' streets but close to entrance so relatively easy to find.
Great hotel.

I loved La Maison Maure and would happily book another trip to Fes just to spend some more time there! Christian, the owner, and Driss, the manager, went far beyond what would be required of them to make sure our stay was pleasant. The two set up dinners for us, took us around the medina until we got our bearings, set up tour guides and Christian even took us to some of his favourite shops (the honey shop was unbeatable)!

The rooms are beautiful and the house itself is like a peaceful oasis in the maze of the medina. Breakfast was amazing and we tried something new every morning. Every staff member made sure our stay was enjoyable and we really appreciated the lengths they went to to make us feel at home.

I couldn't recommend La Maison Maure highly enough. I'm definitely looking forward to my next trip!

Room tip: All the rooms are brilliant !

La Maison Maure is the perfect place to stay in Fes. Christian and his staff are amazing. There is nothing they cannot recommend or arrange in advance for you. Every great experience we had in Fes is because of their recommendation or planning. The rooms are beautifully and exquisitely decorated, spacious, and comfortable. We felt at "home" and loved the serenity it provided after a day in the medina. The food was fabulous, including the homemade yogurt and Christian's banana bread each morning. I cannot say enough great things about La Maison Maure, Christian and Driss. We enjoyed getting to know Christian over mint tea and coffee, and Driss during breakfasts. They organized our guide through the medina, made restaurant reservations and recommendations, and Christian even spent personal time taking us to shops in an attempt to purchase special items. Driss spent extra time escorting us through the medina and directing us to ville nouvelle. We arrived at La Maison Maure as guests, but left feeling like friends! I would return to Fes again and again just to stay at La Maison Maure.
