This place is beautiful, the rooms are elegant and spotless. The terrace has lovely views of the city and the breakfasts served is a delightful selection of homemade dishes.
Our only reservation about recomending this to others was the selling. We stayed in numerous places during our holiday and this was the only one where the staff was intent on selling extras to us. Obviously you can say no to these but the staff seemed kind and helpful and their reccommednation genuine. On recomendation we had dinner at a nearby restaurant/palace, in hindsight we should have known, but the food was bland, the restaurant almost empty, overpriced compared to real restaurants and overall disappointing.
Additinally if possible I would suggest using regular taxis rather than the private hire provided by this place. We were charged at least 3 times over the odds for one journey. I guess you are paying for the convenience.....
Lastly we found the staff presence overbearing, 'they' seemed to appear from no where enquiring after your plans and suggesting 'better' alternatives everytime you left your room.
We were prepared for the hard sell in the medina, but had hoped the riad would be a place to escape from that.

We stayed there for 2 nights. It is the bright portion in our fes tour. Normally we like to walk around till late of night while traveling, but this time we enjoyed the night time on Terrence and chatting with owner , appreciated his idear about decorating the rooms, listened story of opera actors and actresses in the raid.
We like the freedom in the riad that we cooked the noodle brought by ourselves, made fruit juice, cooked morocco meant tea then enjoyed them on Terrence . The breakfast are delicious especially banana bread. It is so special and made by owner. When you come in , it will give you many surprises . So come to feel!

We spent three nights here during Ramadan and would absolutely stay here again. Our host, Driss, was very nice and prompt with all of our requests. The breakfast that they serve is quite nice, complete with fresh breads, sweet treats, jams, homemade yoghurt and a treat, sweet potato jam!

We ate at the Riad one night, and the food was very good. We also took Driss' recommendation and ate at a nearby restaurant/palace one night, which was a very nice experience. A young boy from the restaurant came and picked us up at the Riad (he was very prompt) and also led us back, which was very nice since Fes is a complicated city and is even more complicated in the dark.

The rooms were very clean and well spaced out. We stayed on the second floor and there were multiple couples on higher floors, but we did not hear them at all when we were in the room (no plumbing noises, sleeping noises, etc). Frequently this is not the case at Riads, but we were all quite comfortable.

Please note that Driss and his colleagues do not live on site, however they are a quick phone call away. This Riad is a great value - we have paid much more to stay in other Riads in Fes and La Maison Maure is just as nice as those for half the price.

New, modern, comfortable riad near to Bab Bou Jeloud (the Blue Gate – a big plus in this enormous labyrinthine city), with a delicious included breakfast and fantastic views over the medina from the terrace. Terrace area also has a lovely lounge room complete with flat screen TV and a large selection of DVD's - just in case you want an evening away from the crowds.

Overall a very modern, clean and comfortable riad, bedding was good quality, bathroom was very nice and oerall a great place to base yourself in Fes.

The manager Driss was very welcoming and more than happy to assist with any questions we had about Fes or ideas for things to do. Driss also got up early for us on our last day to ensure that we had a good breakfast before we hit the road.

The highlight however, was the wonderful home-cooked dinner that Driss organised for us with nice local wine, served on the terrace at sunset - absoultely delicious and worth every penny!!

Would be more than happy to stay here again!!

My husband and I have just spent 2 nights in this wonderful Dar ( hotel ) and it just wasn't long enough. Driss ( the Manager ) went out of his way to be helpful organising guides, Restaurants etc. He also provided lots of wonderful mint tea and great breakfasts. The owner Christian was away while we were there but even he sent us messages via Driss! Driss even arrived very early 0615 to get us breakfast and see us on our way to the train!
In all a wonderful experience and the Dar is one I would recommend to others very happily.
