“A bit of Versailles in Fes”
5 of 5 bubbles Reviewed 10 June 2014

it is great to visit these gardens at the end of the visit to the Medina. You will be able to catch your breath and welcome the quiet and calm of this beautiful park. There are many water features and wonderful trees. Definitely have a seat on one of the benches and smell the roses.

“Very nice urban garden for relaxation”
3 of 5 bubbles Reviewed 2 June 2014

We visited this garden on a very hot day, so it was nice to be cooled in the shade from the mature plantings. A very pleasant garden to sit in and enjoy, or stroll through. We were in a loose group, and the women in our group were not harassed. The water wheel sculpture that is featured in descriptions of the park is rather ugly. It isn't an authentic water wheel, or a reproduction, but rather a kinetic sculpture.

“What a pearl on the edge of the Medina”
5 of 5 bubbles Reviewed 2 June 2014

This is a welcome respite from the bustle of Fes and not a place to be missed to see beautiful flowers and plants. The garden is very well kept and it was a beautiful sanctuary that was relaxing, quiet, and the opposite of busy-ness of the souks. Many guidebooks say there's a cafe with drinks/snacks, but it was nowhere that we could find.

“Better than Marjorelle in Marrakech”
5 of 5 bubbles Reviewed 21 May 2014

This old garden has a wonderful, peaceful ambience and mellows out the whole Fes experience. I found it very soul restoring and relaxing after the bustle of the souks, and a slow wander among the tall trees, fountains and floral displays definitely recharged my batteries. Many locals use the park, sitting in peaceful groups, young lovers steal some quiet time together, and many sit alone in reverie. I liked Fes much more as a city after visiting this garden.

“Really pretty but bit awkward to sit/relax”
4 of 5 bubbles Reviewed 11 May 2014

Prettiest gardens we saw in Morocco. However it was a bit awkward trying to find somewhere to sit and read. Nice place but once again you probably need to be with a man otherwise you will get harassed.
