We stayed in Riad Layla for 2 nights in July '13. We booked a mezzanine room which was very nice decorated, very good beds. The breakfast and dinner are very tasty. The staff very friendly. On our next visit to Fez we surely book again at Riad Layla!

Great location just by the blue gates. Our room was amazing, spotlessly clean with great décor and attention to detail. The staff were lovely and we were even given a packed breakfast for our early departure. Fabulous place. I would recommend it.

my family and I visited fes for 3 nights and we stayed at riad layla. the location is perfect as it is only about a 5-10 min walk from the medina and blue gate. But what i enjoyed the most was the hospitality of all the people who work there. When we first arrived, they treated us to some delicious moroccan tea, and then they took us up to the roof top terrace where the receptionist showed us all the places to visit in fes and gave us a detailed map of the city. the breakfast was excellent in the morning as it is made fresh by the cook. The riad felt like a family to us as we enjoyed talking to each and everyone of the employees there. they took very good care of us during our stay

Room Tip: just enjoy your stay.

We stayed for 3 nights in Fez, witch has a very interesting Medina. Riad Layla is located just a few minutes from the blue gate, in a quiet area. The staff is very nice and friendly. We can only recommend to stay there if your in Fez.

Riad Layla is on the edge of the Medina, but it is only a few minutes walk from the blue gate. The terrace has a fantastic view of the old Medina. The breakfast every morning is plentiful, and each and everyone of the staff is extremely friendly and helpful. We originally booked for 2 days, and we extended another day of stay in Fes. Both Chaimae and Iolanda speak fluent English and are gracious in providing us traveling tips around the Medina. They are exceptional and wonderful hosts. The riad is beautiful, clean, nicely decorated. The room we had is Sara, and it is very spacious with tall windows - a romantic getaway in the midst of the historical medina. A great value.

If you go to Fes and choose Riad Layla, you will definitely not regret it. This beautifully decorated Riad is very well located, only a 10-15 mn walk from the heart of the Medina. In Riad Layla, we stayed in the Royal Suite with a mezzanine whose bed, sitting room and bathroom were absolutely spectacular. The staffwere very nice, and we also enjoyed having breakfast on the rooftop terrace overlooking the Atlas mountains and if you go there you must try the hammam which will be the best treat you can get in Fes !

Room Tip: If quietness is what you are looking for, ask the riad to book you a room which does not face the st...

This is a small but beautiful riad on the edge of the medina. Not too far into the medina, which means its fairly easy to find it.
The staff were very warm and welcoming, the rooms felt luxurious, and the meals were excellent.
The manager Yolanda was full of tales of Morocco and Fes and it was good to listen to her insight.
Only tiny thing is that it's a bit pricey- lunch is 15 euros, dinner is 20 euros, rooms start at 80 euros.
Overall I loved my stay here and would def recommend this hotel.
