“Lovely but impersonal”
Reviewed 8 October 2013 via mobile

Everything was very suitable but the staff were very cool & unhelpful. Not quite unfriendly, they responded with minimal effort, but quite aloof. Which is fine because one hardly spends one's time sitting around the Riad when there's meetings to have/ exploring to do. They aren't Arabic so that probably explains a little, not so warm & lovely, not authentically Moroccan, didnt go even half a millimetre out of their way to accommodate, But still.. They could have been a lot more welcoming & friendly. I'm accustomed to genuinely 4.5/ 5 star standard service. Star ratings dont just refer to the decor.. They were patient & calm though. If feeling welcome is important to you, I wouldn't stay here. If you just want a lovely room, this Riad is a suitable choice.

Just came back from our trip to Morocco. My friends and me stayed at the Riad Said, a beautiful small place that brought to mind 1001 nights.....everywhere you look is like a scene from a dream. Our room was perfect for the 4 of us. After a day full of sightseeing the Medina, we would come to our little oasis and have a perfect night sleep. The staff was friendly and helpful. I would love to go back!

Absolutely stunning ! It was like walking into a palace. Peaceful and tranquil amidst the hustle and bustle of the medina just a 10 min walk away. Rooftop terrace view is amazing. Stayed in the beautiful Sofian Room which has a huge corner bath, and the room was cleaned and tidied daily with real attention to detail. I would highly recommend this gorgeous riad.

My wife and I stayed in Riad Said for two nights in late April 2013 during a two week drive through Morocco. The riad is off a quiet pedestrian street and is easy enough to miss, but when you enter you walk right into a beautiful courtyard. The hosts, Yves and Samir, were extremely friendly. Samir spoke English. Yves spoke French and a little English, and I was also able to communicate with him using high school Spanish. So if you only speak English and have any specific requests you might want to email in advance to make sure Samir can help you out.

Our room was large and well furnished and the bathroom was amazing -- but we were hardly in it. We were either out exploring the Fes medina or lounging in the courtyard. Riad Said also has a roof deck with a beautiful view that we didn't take advantage of because of our short time there.

Room Tip: We stayed in the Dounia room which was nice and spacious.

Our stay was utterly amazing. The staff were beyond helpful with everything! The riad is beautifully decorated like a Moroccan palace, as are the rooms. We would love to come back. Thanks for showing us a great stay in fes.

The best riad we had during our time in Marocco. A beautiful place with friendly staff and spacious clean rooms. The food was good! Definitely value for money!!!!! I advise you to use the pick up service otherwise it might be difficult to find in the medina.

Wow! This Riad made our stay in Fez perfect. The location, staff and atmosphere made the city disappear but the Moroccan experience never stopped. We had the pleasure of meeting everyone from the owner, manager to the wait staff. Every step of the way, we felt like part of the family.
