This is a very central riad style house. We had 3 nights here. Excellent breAkfast and service. Price is just right. Would definitely use it again and recommend it.

I'm italian and i was writing this recension in my language while i saw everyone before wrote it in english. So i will do it too because i dont agree with things written from others travellers.
Yes, how i said in the title the dar warda is not the best riad in the city but of course i can't understand how someone could expect more and more if your choice is for the cheapest bb in the medina!!! maybe someone thought to find the hilton spending what they spend for a poor dinner in their country!
the position is perfect, just 2 minutes from the door of medina.it's true it's not easy to find but i asked to a little guy and i bring me just in front of the door. the two guys, chakib and i cant remember the other name, are fantastic. they help u for everything u need, they are very very good guys and i felt like at my home thanks to them.
my room was good, just a little cold, and the brekfast excelent.
to close i can just say that if u dont want to spend much money the dar warda is the ideal riad in fez!

This Riad is situated near the main street Talaa Lakbira in the Medina. The place is so beautiful, traditional, where you can find many interesting typically Moroccan things. Breakfast was delicious, traditional Berber pancakes with jam, coffee and tea with mint. Service was very friendly and helpful. Clean rooms. Surely even once visit this place! I highly recommend it!

Worst place i've ever been... terrible location, not signposted anywhere in the medina, based in very narrow little pathways in between blocks of houses. very dark and scary at night. No sign of the riad on entrance door. had to pay rippers to get there, they charged a fortune.

Staffs do not speak fluent english/french. Cleaner/Maid does not understand english/french - she was caught overlooking/interfering in other people's room when they were out, so better keep all belongings safe.

Breakfast was all crap, no orange juice, tea and bread. no continental breakfast served, just cold pancakes, butter, jams, coffee and cold mint tea...

Room and bedsheet were dirty, smelly, very uncomfortable mattress and pillows. no soap provided and towels smell horrible.

Don't be impressed by the pictures as everything is very old and small.

Never book airport transfers through them - better take the petit taxi on meter to the train station (gare de fes) which cost less than 10 dirhams and from there to airport, big taxi costs 50 dirhams or take the no. 16 bus for only 3.40 dirham/person.

Don't be fooled by moroccan rippers whose always trying to get their highest price from tourist.

NEVER AGAIN TO DAR WARDA!!! BETTER BOOK HOTELS...

This Riad is situated 5 minutes (at the most) from the blue gate in the Medina, which is a useful landmark and very pretty. Although it is difficult to find, the staff are more then happy to help you if you give them a call and they will come and meet you if needed. One of the members of staff took us on a tour around Fez's medina (cost 150 dirham for 2 of us) which was very useful as the medina is massive (9300 streets apparently) and helped us to get out bearings. There were many lovely restaurants less then 5 minutes from the Riad and the breakfast at the Riad was lovely. Both the room we stayed in and the en-suite were very clean. Overall a very enjoyable experience and I would definately stay there again!
