We stayed in this hotel as part of a Gate 1 Tour and it offered a comfortable room with a good breakfast buffet. We were able to walk to other restaurants for dinner. Free wifi in our room and the lobby made our visit very easy and comfortable.

I stayed here for 2 nights and was very pleased with the hotel. The location was very good....so important when you are on a tour and don't have a car. I was pleased with the staff who were both friendly and helpful when we needed assistance. The breakfast was adequate BUT the restaurant was way overpriced. And a glass of wine and a snack in the bar cost more than a full meal (plus wine) in the place I ate the other night. Stay here but don't eat here us my suggestion!!

The Barcelo Fes Medina is a very nice hotel in the city of Fes. My wife and I stayed at the hotel for two nights as a part of a Gate 1 Travel; tour group. The rooms are spacious and very comfortable and very clean. The staff is very accommodating and professional. The hotel restaurant has a pretty interesting menu, however there is a myriad of food options in the area. The pool remains drained until May when the weather heats up. There is free wifi I the lobby, however I have no problem whatsoever connecting from my room on the fourth floor. There is a small mall about a quarter mile away from the hotel where you can purchase travel essentials or a bottle of your favorite spirits or enjoy the offerings at the food court. I would recommend the Barcelo Fes Medina to anyone looking for a place to lay their head for a couple of nights in the Fes Area.

Room Tip: All of the rooms are nice, ask for overlooking the street scene.

I am from Australia and I have stayed at this hotel on both long and short term and I must say that I have been incredibly delighted with the experience.
The hotel has got great ambiance in a location very much suited for tourists! Great views and would feel like home.
Friendly and courteous staff. Shopping mall and food courts just all over around the hotel.
Best wifi to keep us connected.
Rooms are beautifully designed with world class furnishings.
This hotel is well looked after and deserve the top rating!
Highly recommended for stay.

Room Tip: I have stayed in both single room and suite - both are good but a suite would obviously have more sp...

The room was fairly dark even with all the lights on...Beds were very hard and uncomfortable. Other than that, the hotel was attractive and very well located near restaurants and shopping, including a mall with Carrefours that had a separate shop selling wine and spirits. It is located on a beautiful avenue in the new town (despite the word "medina" in its name). Cannot speak to value as we were on a tour.

Sure looks like a former Ibis hotel. Minimum extras. No kettle or coffee/tea making facilities in room. Frig, complimentary bottle of water. Didn’t care for the shower with no door. Sink stopper stuck in closed position, couldn’t get water out of sink - request for maintenance ignored and the problem continued next day. (Maid service must have emptied water but ignored issue.) Breakfast OK. Poor wifi. Limited outlets. Reception not prepared to give small change. Room key de-programmed (for several guests) after first day out and about. Had to return to reception to replace. Small elevators. Not very close to old medina. Please see my photos for more room details. Would not recommend this hotel. If you found my review helpful, please click on “yes.” Thanks.

Nice hotel. Had a very large room with great bathroom and shower. Lovely furnishings and free WiFi in rooms. Bed was a little too hard but otherwise room was very comfortable. Very close to a large modern mall with fast food restaurants and grocery store and on a large main road with restaurants and shops. Fairly close to medina. Service was good.
