Our stay at Dar Lalla Kenza exceeded all of our expectations. The professional service and helpful staff made our time in Fes unforgettable. The Riad had stunning interiors, renovated to very high standards. One of the many highlights included the gorgeous food served at the Riad, the owner Ben even arranged and assisted us in cooking lessons. The rooms were extremely clean and the bed was unbelievably comfortable. We would highly recommend this Riad, as it was absolutely faultless.

I definitely recommend this place. Fes is a mesmerising town in which you can very easily get lost. Staying in this beautiful, safe, and chilled out riad was really helpful in those first couple of days in Morocco. It's located at the edge of the medina, close enough to the markets, and just the right distance from all the madness of the touristic spots. The rooms are beautiful (although a bit cold in the night time in December) and the roof terrace gives breath-taking views over the whole medina. Ben, the manager of the hostel, was super friendly and helpful with organising our next step into Morocco, a trip to the desert. He is very reliable and fun, he even found my lost earring which I was ready to cry over like a baby! Staying here was a great start and it helped us plan the rest of our trip, which turned out great!

I really feel like at home in Dar Lalla Kenza. In this place you can feel the frendly and great morrocan atmosphere and hospitalility. From here, guests can enjoy easy access to all that the lively city has to offer. I was with a friend and we had a clean and beautiful bedroom. There is also a big and confortable living room. Breakfast is delicious. I recommend this hostel! Everything is perfect!

I strongly recommend this hostel for a lot of reasons:
-reasonable price
-very good position: in the center but on the other side of Bab Jloud where all the touristic sightseeing tours start... so it is very quiet.
-the hostel is an ancient Moroccan house (if you don't stay at this hostel may be you'll never be able to visit one) and you can enjoy a the rooftop where sometimes breakfast is served.
-the staff is fantastic and incredibly welcoming, the atmosphere is friendly and familiar.
When I arrived there there was no more place in the dormitory and so I stayed alone in a double room.. I wish I took some pics of that room because it was awesome!
I suggested to stay there to some friends and they all had a good experience.
Don't miss it!!!

We stayed at Dar Lalla Kenza for 3 nights in early Oct. We booked the double room with en suite bathroom instead of the dorms. Room was clean and spacious with a nice sofa bed. There was no air-conditioning. Instead we had a fan. Not an issue as the riad was very cooling. Breakfast was a Morocco affair and was satisfying. Location-wise, close to the heart of the medina but away from the new Fes area where the few drinks spots are.

Ben, the manager, was friendly and helpful with providing information. I had to disagree with the former reviewer - Ben actually spoke more to my wife. He was kind to walk us out and got us a cab to the train station when we are leaving.
