I spent a pleasant few days in this Riad - a most gracious Riad indeed - well appointed and well located close to the Blue Gate. It has 5 rooms and the one I had was most comfortable. The owners took great care to introduce us to the area and suggested excellent eating places. I can highly recommend this tif you are looking for something more traditional.
If staying in Fez you definitely must spend a couple of nights in the luxurious Riad Misbah. The surroundings are wonderfully plush, and palatial, and the indoor swimming pool is so private you'll feel as if you're actually swimming in your own private pool. Hosts Fiela and Marco are so welcoming that you really won't want to leave, and the food is incredible, with giant feasts of pancakes, and Moroccan delights for breakfast. Fiela says cooking for her is a joy and a way to make people happy. Awww... Can't wait to go back. Marco & Fiela, thank you!

Fes was the absolute highlight of our trip enhanced by the hospitality and warm welcome shown to us by the beautiful Fieta and the staff of Riad Misbah. The riad was absolutely beautiful- an oasis of tranquility in the medina. My parents and I thoroughly enjoyed the facilities, the food, the impromptu morroccan cooking lessons (which was totally unexpected!) and that everyone went above and beyond to make us feel like part of the family. I would highly recommend this riad to anyone staying in Fes- I assure you will fall in love with this second home, just as we did! Thank-you Fieta and staff- until we meet again.
Strongly recommend to anyone who is Fez to spend time at Riad Misbah - do not think of it as a place to stay, but as a unique experience for which all travellers are so hungry. Key highlights:
- High quality air-conditioned rooms - very timely as we were in Fez in August and it was an oven outside
- Amazing food - great way to enjoy traditional cuisine in a comfortable environment 'protected' from noisy streets
- Outstanding pool - goes a long way to provide comfortable cooling during heat hours
We also found the the experience of having a conversation with owner to be as valuable as the accommodation itself - so the traveller gets two for the price of one
I would like to warn -for self interest in case we return- this place is more appropriate for those seeking Zen relaxation: the place is an oasis of peace with an excellent swimming pool, cosy common areas to read and rest and wonderful hosts. The place instills quietness and you feel being a family guest (rather than a tourist). Indeed, we received a warm welcome.
The breakfast is fantastic. Do request a dinner, its cost is well worth the great experience. The hosts prepare a phenomenal showcase of local (and other Maghreb) dishes. We absolutely loved it.
Location is excellent to explore Medina and yet very close to the gates into the modern city, should you want to get out.
The room we stayed in was a bit austere, but very clean. It wasn't uncomfortable, but came in contrast with the warmth of the common areas that we liked.
We would come back and for longer.
