During our visit to the Fes Medina, we had lunch at La Medina. The building is a large magnificently restored Riad. The ceilings are high and exquisitely decorated as were the walls. The staff were welcoming and attentive and the service was very good.
We started out with a variety of cooked vegetables (lentils, white beans, eggplant, carrots, etc.) and moroccan bread. We then had our choice of entree; I had the tagine with couscous, lamb and vegetables. My wife had the tagine which was comprised of couscous with vegetables both were very good. Dessert was a fruit plate of fresh melon and apricots. The meal ended with the traditional glass of Moroccan mint tea.
This is a convenient location not far from the Chouara Tannerie and was a great place to stop for lunch as we made our way through the Fes Medina.
